I've started getting acid since getting Herceptin.  I'm afraid to take anti-acid drugs because I worry that once I start I will be stuck on them.

Any ideas as to how I can deal with this acid?

Prolonged acid reflux can cause precancerous changes to the esophagus.

I'd just take the antacid. You body has already proven it can make cancer out of normal cells.

Oh no!  I didn't know that Frown.  Thanks for that LJ.

I'm so fed up with this.  We take a drug for one thing and end up having to take another for what that causes, etc.

One of the reasons I don't want to get onto the anti-acid wagon is because they block calcium and hence affect bones and I already have oesteoporosis.

Does anyone have any ideas on another way to deal with the acid?
