Publix 2% milk says Without Hormones Is it Safe?

Publix 2% milk says "Without Hormones".  Does this mean it is safe or is it still to be avoided?  Still trying to figure out what I should and shouldn't eat and drink.

I've switched over to organic almond milk, unsweetened.  The reason why I switched is because I read something about it coming from the Nurses Study.  It seems the nurses who reported that they drank milk, also broke the most bones then others who said they don't drink it.

Then, also milk can't go in to green tea because it will block the nutrients from the tea.  That got me thinking, will milk do the same for other nutrients?   I buy organic milk for my husband.  He doesn't have bone loss problems.  I know there are other reasons to avoid bovine milk.  Check with the ladies on the natural girls thread.

I was a huge milk drinker all my life until this year.  I never had a cavity until college.  I always had really strong fingernails until bc and chemo came along.  Milk is one thing that I would never run out of.  I drank 2 gallons a week.  When I started paying more attention to nutrional health after bc treatments, I opted for milk that was hormone-free.  There's another substance also to avoid, RBH.  Maybe that's a hormone also.  The brands that don't have it will say so on the front label.

I always felt like I was getting enough calcium because of my milk consumption. There's a lot of conflicting information about the benefits, or lack thereof, of dairy products.  Without hashing through all that, there's one statistic that I think sums it all up -- the USA consumes massive amounts of dairy products compared to other nations and we have the highest rate of osteoperosis in the world.  How can this be, if milk is so good for us?

Ultimately, it wasn't the prospect of osteoperosis that persuaded me to give up milk. Most of our meat and dairy comes from factory farms where the conditions for the animals is deplorable.  I still have a serious pizza habit, and I love butter, but the dairy industry no longer receives any of my dollars for milk. My favorite milk alternative is coconut milk, but it's harder to find than the rice milk I drink most of the time.
