Thank You So Much...through the years...
This past week marked the 4 year cancer-versary of my bc diagnosis. I try not to dwell on it, but needless to say... a year hasn't gone by that I don't reflect upon it.
Back in July of 2005 - when I was dx'd with this insidious desease - my dh stumbled upon bc.org. I will never forget it... He yelled down to me " Honey... I found a discussion forum for you... there are lots of girls dealing with this and I think you should check it out".
Of course I did... and I received the most incredible advice. I never - in a million years - thought that I would have the luxury of "talking" to women who had experienced the same thing. I was in awe, choked up and amazed after reading the posts... and quite frankly... I was inspired. I received answers and advice and encouragement from women who were dealing with the same situation as me.
Since then, I continue to be inspired. And I just wanted to let all of you know that I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Women - by nature - are incredible! I love and respect each and every one of you! Thank you for helping me through this journey... I could not have made it without you!
I have learned from you... and I will continue to help those who are newly diagnosed... I will give back so generously - just as though you all gave to me.
Be well... let's stick together... noone, other than us, can feel what we feel...
Much love to all of you and big hugs too!

My first car was a GTO.
Nonetheless, I can't imagine how you feel about these ladies. I love so many already & I am new.
Some parts are newer than others, but, we won't talk about that.

Laura, we love you, too.

Laura...I too was dx'd 4 years ago (4/5/05) and felt exactly as you did when I found this amazing community of loving & supportive women. And I too have been so inspired over the years and prompted to continue trying to be the best person I can possibly be. But I recall your being especially inspiring...always honest, thoughtful and often very funny. So I'll just thank you for finding this forum of all of us and continuing to stick around and contribute to our mutual effort to THRIVE rather than only survive! It seems that we do need one another, don't we?

One of my cats looks similar to Fit Chick. His name is Bart. We are still trying to earn his trust. He used to be abused until his owner took him in. But Bart gave his heart to his rescuer;. Cause he doesnt want to like us. But he has no choice, we are such likeable people.

Laura,
You've come a long way, baby!! Four years flies by, but living it those first years seems like an eternity!
BC will always be part of your life, but it doesn't have to rule you. Congrats on this milestone!

Well, well, well. Has it been 4 years? I feel as if I've known you much longer! You have such a head on your shoulders and amazing common sense and, as noted, much laughter in your heart.
You have added so much to this community and for you to articulate so well what we all feel, just shows how smart you are!
It is an honor to know you, kiddo!
