My wife (marketingmom) I think was going to do it but her rescheduled surgery might interfere

So...not many/any San Francisco walkers on here, I gather! Anyway....I leave tomorrow for the Bay Area and The 3-Day starts Friday! I was blessed to be chosen to carry the flag "Love" during opening ceremonies. If one word could describe what got me to this part of my journey, it is love! I just want everyone here to know that I truly walk for all of us, those we have lost and those we hope never have to travel this journey...

    Hi smithime,

Nice to meet you, neighbor. Good for you for doing the walk!

I just did the Komen 5k in SF last Sunday with my BC support group.  I found it very inspiring.  I had expected most of the walkers to be 'survivors', but actually the vast majority were people walking in support of loved ones...women,... men....children walking and running for a cure.  One guy  came just  to 'high five' as many survivors as he could. Volunteers wore out their vocal chords cheering us on at every step.  It was truly moving.  We had fun, and raised money for a good cause.  (I truly hope it is being put to good use!)

How inspiring to be chosen to carry the 'Love' flag!  Walk on, sister!

It was an incredible 3 days of love, love, love! I walked all 60 miles and crossed the finish line with my 23 year old daughter, my sister who is a 20 year survivor and our entire team! The weather was perfect for SF and the views were amazing! On to 2010!
