Day 2 - 23 HOT HOT Miles through Lexington Up and down (but, mostly up) many many hills.... this was a brutal day challenging every ounce of energy in the body...
When we came through Lexington, the cheering station was amazing... Kindness does ROCK!
After we made the last steps from Pit 5 to Camp - our tent greeted us with the Winning Ribbon. Take pride Sis
tah's we are all Winners!!! (((((HUGS and Congratulations to all)))))
-
And Day 3, The emotional day... We walked from camp, through Cambridge, past Harvard, along Mass Ave to the Commons... it was a serene day. The cheering station at Cambridge City Hall was Highly emotional... Tamoxifen moments were many (as I call them)... then down by the ocean to U Mass & the Bayside Expo.... All in all an easy day compared to Day 2... plus our feet knew they were almost home...
Many times during the walk I thought about each of you... and how grateful I am to know you and share the good, the bad and the ugly... for we are truly Sistah's and we wave the flags of healing, hope, love, commitment, Belief, Patience and Optimissum... the white flag of Surrender is not in our war chest!!! We were here ladies - we made a difference!!!
