Bette, Leave your laptop behind and fully enjoy your Tom
Have a great weekend.
-
bette You are in my thought and prayers. Enjoy your weekend. I will be thinking of you Wed and sending you such positive vibes! Enjoy your cookout and weekend!!!!!!!!!
-
The cookout was great! They ended by praying for me. Now I am up early to pack. Tom will get home from work soon, get a few hours of sleep, and we will be off.
I had trouble sleeping last night but it was not cancer that was keeping me up. It was the PA state budget impasse. Tom is not getting paid until they pass the budget, and at this point things don't look good. He says we will be all right, and I want to believe that, but there were all sorts of money worries in my head. This too, is in God's hands, and He will provide.

Awesome time in Lancaster County. On to Baltimore tomorrow to see DD and go to Johns Hopkins.
Bette

Prayers off with you
-
Bette- I'm praying fiercely for you.
-
So glad to hear you had a good time. Good luck tomorrow
-
Thank you, Caroline, Deb and Jane. We are in Baltimore now, and the pople at the hotel are very nice. Soon we will take a shuttle to the hospital. The waiting for the biopsy is almost over. Then we will wait for the pathology to come back, and go from there.
The peace of God is ruling in my heart as I wait.
Bette
-
Bette, you have such an awesome attitude. Your faith will carry you thru this.

Bette Happy to hear you had a great time! Thinking of you and sending you prayers!
-
Hi Bette,
I'm so sorry for all you are going through, and I'm definitely happy that you have such a good person there with you. I had my mastectomy at Hopkins. Their cancer center is very good. I am glad you are getting treated there now.
When you are able, please let us know how everything turns out. Know that you are being lifted up in prayer from people all over! Let me know which hotel you stayed at. I stayed at the McElderry House, which was quite nice.
Colleen
-
Colleen, We are at Best Western on O'Donnell St., which has a floor dedicated to Hopkins patients, plus a nice hospitality suite with computer access and a free shuttle to the hospital.
We are leaving in half an hour for my procedure today. I am not permitted to eat or drink and was very hungry when Tom went down to the breakfast buffet without me.
I feel very peaceful, and thank God for all the people who are praying. We should know a preliminary result today and final pathology next Monday.
Bette
-
Bette, praying that everything went well today. You have many in this "wait" with you, praying for good news.
Blessings.
-
Hi Bette,
We will have to try that hotel next time. Still praying and hoping everything is ok.
Colleen
-
Bette,
Praying for you and Tom.
Debbie
-
Bette, I'm praying for you and Tom. May God wrap his arms around you both and lift you out of this. Please keep us posted.
Love, Elaine
-
I found the following update from Bette on another thread. It looks like she will find out the results on Monday.
I am back at the hotel with a scratchy throat and a cough. The biopsy was successful in retrieving enough "abnormal' cells to do pathology on. We won't know until Monday what the results are.
Tomorrow we will return home to wait. Resting in the peace of God.
Bette
-
Colleen, thank you for updating everyone. I started to do it, and just got too tired.
We are back home after what seemed like a very long, rainy drive. I still have throat and cough issues, and stayed in bed with body aches most of the day. Tom was a darling and unpacked everything.
So another weekend of waiting. Whatever the result, I will feel better knowing what we are doing going forward.
Bette
-
Bette...glad you and Tom had a good trip.
My thoughts are with you...weekends seem to go by so fast lol Monday will be here before you know it....
Sorry you are not feeling well on top of everything else going on...hope you feel better soon!
-
Bette
Praying for B9 results! Waiting sucks! Take it easy, relax, play do what ever you want! Thinking of you.
Marlene
-
Bette - Thanks for letting us know. I have been praying fervently for you and thinking about you all the time. I'll continue to pray for good news on Monday. Have they given you any clue as to what, if anything, else it could be?
-
Jane, Marlene, bethaib, Thanks for the prayers an good wishes. I am feeling much better today. I am even baking cookies!
Go all from my onc here at home, but no news on the pathology yet. She just wanted to see how I was doing.
Will feel better mentally/emotionally when the waiting is over and I know what I am dealing with. Meanwhile, there will probably be no news this week, so time to relax.
Bette
-
Bette, I love that "Meanwhile, there will probably be no news this week, so time to relax." - instead of stressing out, you will relax - Let go and let God - perfect. How can you not be victorious?
-
Patoo, I am having a hard time relaxing, but it's not about the cancer right now. Instead I am stressed because Tom, a state employee, did not get paid this week, and will not receive a paycheck until 2-4 weeks after the budget passes. He is calm about this, telling me that God will provide our needs one day at a time. I am not calm. Pray for me that I will learn to trust God in all things. Somehow I find it easier to trust about cancer than about paying the rent.
Bette
-
Last night I prayed hard, casting all my burdens, the things I am worrying about, onto God, who is much better at doing anything about them than me. As a result, I was able to sleep peacefully for a few hours. I am up early, reading my Bible, and praying for all my BCO sisters.
I am choosing to rejoice and be glad, no matter what tomorrow brings.
Bette
-
Bette,
Know that all your sisters are praying with you.
Debbie
-
Bette,
I am so sorry to read what you are going through. I have not posted in awhile. I needed a break from BC after I completed radiation. I logged on to see how everyone was doing and expected to read only good news. The waiting is really difficult. Tom sounds wonderful and you are very lucky to have him, which of you course you know. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am praying for good news for you tomorrow.
Ann Marie
-
Thank you, Ann Marie.
Just came back from church. They are praying for me there, and many people asked how the biopsy went, and if I had news yet. Of course I don't.
I have plans for tomorrow. I am not sitting by the phone all day waiting for it to ring. Been there, done that. I actually have an appointment to get my hair cut! First actual haircut since chemo. I am looking forward to looking more normal. Right now my hair is straight and bushy and sticks out every which way, especially in the humidity. Will be sure to post a picture.
Bette
-
Bette - Looking forward to the new hair pic. Stay strong.
-
Bette -- I admire your faith and your strength so much. Take care and post a pic of your new "do" when you can. DH cut the back of my hair a little last night to shape it up, but it's not long enough for a "real" haircut yet. Praying for you and thinking of you today and every day.
