swimangel, I see the onc. on Thursday for results, staging and (treatment plan (I hope). I will ask about the FISH. I don't know if she ordered that test. I don't even know if they did pathology on the tumor at surgery. On the report it kinda says tumor path was done at biopsy, I would think they would do it again with the whole tumor.

    buccaneersdj,

If any part of your body is removed via surgery (especially tumors) they will biopsy it.  You should get those results from your dr.  This is where final staging will come in.  I am glad that you got the ct and other tests.  It will give your dr. a better all-around picture of your dx.

    Hugs,

    Trish

buccaneersdj - did your onc give you your pathology results? Did he run the FISH test to check the Her2 status?

Hi everyone, The onc. says I am stage IIa, she also ordered the FISH test. Bone scan was neg. but the CT scan showed an enlarged lymph node in the chest/clavical area on the opposite side of surgery, so I am finaly getting a PET scan on Wednesday. I also will start chemo TAC x6 on Thursday, I didn't even get my port yet I guess it will be IV the first round. Until the FISH comes back I am a TN. Hopefully that will change and hopefully the enlarged lymph is not more CA!

Hang in there Buccaneersdj...........I'll be praying your enlarged lymph node is B9 and that your PET scan is OK too!
