double mas 07/ bone scan

Options

I had a double mas, chemo, & rad completed on Aug 07, recently have strange constant bone pain on back, sternum, and sometimes elbows.  I had a bone scan yesterday.  Technician indicated the results would be in a few days.  Would it be too soon to call the Doctor Wednesday for some kind of answer.  My appt with onco dr is not until Aug 4,  I really need to know sooner.  Has anyone has mets to bones.  I hoping it is just arthritis, but I am only 54.

I had a fairly large met on my femur, my only symptom was a strange pain when my 16 lb cat stood on that spot.  I am only 48 but I have osteoarthritis so it is certainly a possibility.

Dora, I don't think it's too soon.  I think 4 days should be enough time,  in fact i think most places read the images within 24 hours so that seems like enough time to get it to your doc.  I don't think i could wait 2 weeks for results... and i am so sorry this is going on.  In fact, i'm having a hip pain and i'm almost too scared to know and haven't had a scan that i probably should ask for.

    Gentle hugs, keep us posted..

Are you on tamoxoifen? I am and I have back pain and other joint aches fairly  consitstenly. It appears alot of women on tamox or other adjuvent therapy have issues with body aches. I hope that is all it turns out to be. Positive thoughts your way.
