Monavie

I do not sell monavie, but I have friends who do. They finally convinced me to try it about two months ago and honestly, my pain is gone. I've not had any problems with a racing heart or anything. It's most likely the glucosamine, but I couldn't be sure. Anyways, I am happy being pain free ;-)

Ok, it has been awhile since I have posted. But I must tell you that I had started drinking Monavie just 3 weeks before I was diagnosed with cancer. At that point they told me to STOP everything, so I did. After surgery and rads, I just laid around the house had no energy at all. The onc started me on Tamoxifen which raised my liver enzymes sky high, it also affect my kidneys. My onc ran more blood work to check for hepatitis, which all came back neg. I started taking Monavie again in late Sept 2008.This Feb 2009 my doctor checked my liver function again and now I am normal! Also the kidney function is normal. He said he is not sure what I am doing, but keep it up. They only thing I changed was drinking the monavie! I love this stuff!

I tried Monavie and I have had heart palpitations, I asked the gentleman who gave it to me if it had any stimulant in it and he said no. I would like to see all the ingredients disclosed on the bottle, I mean all...I have three friends who have had the same experience with the Heart palpitations. Yes it might be good for some people, but their should be precautions on the bottle stating that it might cause Heart palpitations for others, it is called full disclosure...For this to happen to 3 people in my sphere of influence is not coincidental. I know, if you are a distributor for the product you don't want anyone bashing your product, but we need to be concerned about the community at large not just our own experience or pocket. One mans cure might be another mans poison, just a thought...

This is my first Blogg, just joined the group. As I read so many comments and concern and they are valid concerns. Although I am a believer of the Mona vie juice, and what the company stands for, because since I was introduced only six months ago, I am doing well both in health and financially, so I do not need convincing. But yes I also think every one regardless how we feel about our product must make sure that every one becomes educated before we insult any one just because it does not work for them. Many people pointed out allergies and for those who are allergic to certain fruits We! who represent and promote the product the first thing we say it is fruit and we go further into explaining the other ingredients which are all listed in the bottles and brochure handed out. Don't blame the Mona vie company and the distributors for not educating oneself so that what we so often do in our lives, we eat the wrong foods, drink beverages that have all kind of chemicals in them as they are processed, breath the same air (pollutions)and some even smoke, so many people do so much wrong to their body's and along comes something good and natural wholesome but they try to make it bad. Bad is all the drugs abused and prescribed by the Dr's. But for those who truly are allergic to something in the juice, please make sure you say the truth about the reaction for you, does not mean for any one else . I am allergic to aspirin so, does that mean every one should be aware, perhaps! but Doctors prescribe it on a daily dosage to many. So do they prescribe many other drugs that are truly killing are the immune system and have caused death. All I am trying to say educate yourself. When you have a reaction to something it is your responsibility to research. God made all the fruits of the earth for both men and animals and gave us free choice. I stand behind my product and my Mona vie company, I believe every one should be healthy and financially free and this company gives the opportunity to have both. I am sad for those who can't drink it I pray they find an alternative without chemical drugs. The world should drink the Mona vie juice "acai" is the #1 food ..Mona vie stand behind it and so do many other researchers and scientist who are no affiliated with Mona vie. As a distributor for some one who said behind closed doors we gather and claim it cures cancer "please stand corrected" no one in our group "Georgia" has said that, many people have testimony's perhaps some one had an experience/hope..We applaud them for sharing not claiming.

I just took Monavie today for the first time and I am experiencing heart palpitations. I found this site while checking the internet for Monavie side effects. I feel like I am on some kind of "upper" or something because I'm feeling a bit high strung or tense as well. Kind of like I've had too much coffee. I tried to sleep but the palpitations kept me awake and I'm concerned. I certainly won't be taking this tomorrow but I will try it agin in a couple of days. I will try to repost with the results after my second try at this stuff.

It sounds like your getting a very high sugar spike which could be causing the palps, keeping some up at night, etc. Sugar, even if it is naturally coming from a fruit, is taken in moderation for us BC survivors. Whenever I make a fruit smoothie I add cinnamon to hold down the natural sugar spike that comes with the berries. Does the bottle mention the amount of sugar per ounce?

Kathy, Your palpitations may be because your body is detoxing. I'm not a physician, but suggest you see what Dr Lou Niles says at http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=38515895. Ken

I do understand that the University of FL is doing a study on Monavie. My oncologist had no problem with me taking it, though I didn't ever buy it. She said she had several patients who said they felt better taking it.
In regard to anti oxidants. I believe they don't want anyone to take mega doses of many supplements while on chemo or rads, but anything in moderation, neither my of my doc objected to.
-
I don't like or recommend MonaVie because it is not a all natural product and contains chemicals and preservatives.
MonaVie contains Sodium Benzoate which some research says may cause cancer and DNA damage.
Coca-Cola is phasing out the use of the controversial additive sodium benzoate in Diet Coke on the back of consumer demand for more natural products.
The company said it began removing the preservative sodium benzoate from production lines in January, and so it should be out of circulation by the end of the year.
There are better products on the market that are pure and do not contain chemical additives. We are sick as a nation because of chemicals, and I don't drink anything with chemicals in it like MonaVie.
Britain has banned sodium benzoate and other chemicals:

I have been drinking a glass of "Arthur's Acai Plus" juice everyday. Much cheaper and the ingredients sound a lot better.
Berry puree blend (organic acai, blueberry, blackberry, boysenberry, apple juice, banana puree, pear juice), lemon or lime juice.
That's it. No chemicals. No concentrates or powders. No preservatives. Reading the MonaVie ingredients would keep me from using it. (In Canada, not sure if it is the same in the US, ingredients are listed starting with the most predominant items used.)
-
Costco has the same thing for a fraction of the cost..
-
I know there's been a lot of discussion about the "amazing" acai berry, but all I've read is that it is really no more anti-oxidant-full than blueberries. But, the marketing of it has done wonders for the Brazilian farmers who grow it (financially, that is....).

Dont you all find it weird that all the posters with only 1 post, and no signature is respresenting monovie??Hmmm...
-
I haven't been on here for a while but have read this thread from start to finish and had a big smile as a result of the posts by the Monavie agents. Come on you lot!! I can't think of one single reason any of you shysters would be on here unless you googled Monavie and went SWOOP to this forum. Shame on you! Y'all know you've been trained to do it. Go away and leave the cancer patients alone.
-
I was recently in California and someone told me they know of people drinking 2 bottles of Mona-vie Mmun a day for 14 days and then a half bottle after that for cancer. Does anyone know someone who actually tried this? and with success? Three people in my family have cancer and I would love some testimonies. Thanks.
-
My mother swore by glucosomine and chondritin for her arthritis. You can buy it in the vitamin section in pill and liquid form. Antioxidants are good but not miraculous. You can buy Acai juice at the health food store. Tests have shown that a serving of Monavie is equal to half an apple. And the arguments go on.

Have you ever had a chance to try it yet?
