A good internet site for local attractions in Wilmington:

All kinds of stuff to do! -
Grace B and I are arriving Friday night. I don't know the hotel we're staying in, it's not the one that was originally recommended, but we'll have a car if needed.
9:30 a.m. means I'm wearing flip flops, and a baseball cap-- if I'm expected to look cute then I need till at least 10:30... tee hee...
I can't wait to see you guys! -
Wish I could be there...sending all kinds of good wishes to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW I took this picture in NC a couple of years ago on a trip... -
Darn I wish I could come! Not looking good though. Who knows, maybe I'll show up and scare ya!
Have fun.

SoCalLisa - that picture looks awfully familiar. What is the location. Is it Lake Tillery from Morrow Mountain?
Wish you could make it to Wilmington!
Ashley -
BethinNY and Grace B - I'm planning on being there Saturday morning - not staying Friday nite. PM me and confirm where you guys will be Sat. morning.
Ashley -
I'm thinking about driving down from Atlantic Beach.
Nannypat,
What are your plans?
I am looking forward to meeting you ladies!
Casey -
I and 2 other Fl gals are driving up on Thursday, June 21 - we will stay with Nannypat. We want to meet up with you all - so what is the plan ? Does anyone know? Has something been arranged for Saturday in Wilmington?
Hoping for some information asap.
Can't wait to meet you all ! -
Ladies, Get in touch with Jasmine, she was having people email her directly and I think there are some plans made.
I am sorry, but I am unable to come....My boss failed to document that I wanted that weekend off and other's have scheduled vacation's for that time.
Just as well I guess, I am so fatigued, more so than I usually am, two surgery's in May, possibly the culprit.
I have an appointment with the Dr @ 1:50 today, am wondering if I will have to have another aspiration.
But again ladies, I apologize profusely that I am unable to be there...Hope each of you has a wonderful time, take lots of pictures and share them with me please.
Hugs, I Love All of You.

Nannypat told me that only 3 people came. I also learned that Jasmine didn't make it either.
I hope each of you had read the boards and knew that I was unable to come. I hate it that the turnout was so small.
Guess the best laid plans can go amiss.
Sorry All

Well, CatinFl, Pantherlinn and I went up to North Carolina this weekend and stayed with Nannypat. Unfortunately, we had no way of contacting anyone who may also have made the trip to Wilmington, so we didn't get to see anyone else.
Did anyone actually end up going to Wilmington? If so, did you all manage to meet up somewhere and somehow?
Anyway, we had a wonderful time with Nannypat and her family. It was well worth the very long drive. -
I know this is a rather old posting, of Ladies who wanted to meet in Wilmington, NC...
I moved here to NC, and am getting my chemo in Wilmington, and I thought it might be fun to meet with some of you girls sometime after my chemo is finished...
Anyone interested?

hey, kimmyh, I live in Greensboro, how far is that from Wilmington? I would love to have a get together with a ton of NC (or anyone) breast cancer survivors! Missy
-
Well, I just found this thread. I live about an hour south of Wilmington, but my oncologist is just outside of Wilmington.
Are there any others near or in Wilmington?
-
Hi Helen, (and anyone else out there still near or in Wilmington NC). I am here in Wilmington. Actually will be coming to Sunset Beach in August. I Love it there. Well I see you have been newly diagnosed this year too. I joined the "Pink Ribbon Club" in May of 2009. Let me know if you are still on this site.
