    I rode the subway for 20 yrs.  I think it was all the abuse I got from mothers etc as brownie, girl guide leader, then volunteering for 1/3 of the districk administration (a team of 3 doing one full time job).  And then baseball convenier.  Everyone thought their daughter belonged on the mound.  Even if they couldnt throw far enough.  Those parents yelled and screamed at me for three years and when both girls quit, I was happy to join them.  The next guy rigged it so his daughters tearm won all the trophies and medals.  He was replaced a year later. The parents who yelled at me forgot their anger and said well at least you tried to be fair and you have two daughters (on same team) - also won but it was a come from behind thing.

    Im not getting up this early ever again.

    Mybe it was swimming in chlorinated pools.  I virtually lived in one all summer growing up.

    patoo- yes, the ajax and the scrub brush, and CLEANING OUT THE SKIMMER!!!!!! All that creepy stuff in the skimmer....

    My blond hair used to turn green we spent so much time in pools living in CA.  I just knew it was my hair that caused my cancer.  I'm gona go shave it all off again.  NOT!!!!!

    add my vote to the pool thing...i lived in a pool daily from the time it opened and was the last one to leave almost every night.all summer long.(AHH remember when summer used to end on Labor Day and we didn't go back to school till after...)..I was a good swimmer and at that time in my life VERY tan...couldn't tan now if i was out every day all day i would just burn up...the joke around here is that i used up all my melatonin while i was young....HMMMMM now there's a theory huh???

    Coffee???please say it isn't so...it IS good till the last drop...

    Titty twisters in middle school....yep I can believe all that caused permanent damage! some of those were BRUTAL!!!

    can't claim the subway thing...rural georgia is severly lacking in the subway department but we did ride down some long dusty roads in a smothering hot school bus with the red GA dirt flying in the window...

    MAYBE it was all the sand that crept into your bathing suit top at the beach and mixed with the salt water and suntan lotion and made a toxic combo...

    Ok I think it is all the "Red Vines" I ate, must have cause my hormone driven cancer, all that red dye!  It can't be the licorice as red vines don't have any!

    Maire67, yeah, I have stories too - not funny either!  But, the fire escape - that was our balcony in the tenements LOL.  Summer was Orchard or Jones beach.

    Oh yes, it could have been the sand which was not only in the bathing suit but in every body crevice possible.  So I bet it was those grains that could not be washed out but just lurked around the body until they worked themselves to the surface.  By then their dirty deed of giving us bc was done!  And drat, I just spent 4 days at the beach last week.

    Yes Maire and Bettysgirl, we have 'all-sorts' of Licorice here, red/ black/English/Dutch/salt/raspberry/strawberry and choc coated a.a.a.n.n.n.n.d.d.d.d. I love them all, even if they do give me the runs. 

    My husband shared his Licorice bullets with me the other night and I made a mental note not to leave home the next day, as I didn't want to get caught short of the ladies.  You know how it is, you go in this entrance and the loo is at the furthest corner from where the urge hits you. 

    I actually found it was faster to leave one shopping centre in my car, drive one block to a servo, take care of business and drive back to mall than to walk/run to nearest/only toilet in centre, farting all the way, hoping there was no one else in there when I got there.

    Anyway, long story short, the bullets didn't work. . . .  . . . . . this time!

    You know Patoo, you're probably right about the sand grains. When you think about it, that's how pearls start out, just an irritating grain of sand inside a pearl shell, which grows into a pearl shell 'tumour.' It seems that the shells and we women pay much the same price for producing these 'aberrations' of mother nature.  

    I'd like to know which entrance is the direct pipeline to the seed bed, wouldn't you? I'm sure someone out there would be only too happy to make some 'plugs' for all females who like to swim at the beach.

    What colour ribbon could we use to raise funds for plugs or would they come under the 'pink' ribbon banner?

    How about all the Swedish fish or maybe sitting too close to the tv. Oh wait sitting too close to the tv is why I wear glasses. How about using a microwave, My 18 years working retail, I ate alot of microwave popcorn and other microwaveable dinners.

    black licorice, green m&m's red fireballs, red vines, all colors of candy and jellybeans,,cookies, icecream..all kind of microwaved stuff,,maybe we just ATE our way to BC...NOOOO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think Kotex is responsible!! Gotta be it!!!

    Uhhhhhhh, you mean when the tampons got "lost"?  Yea, until we managed to get it out those toxic cells were working their way upward. (Oh now don't try and pretend you never lost one!!!)

    patoo- I never lost one....and that's all the coment i'm gonna make on that one...

    I would never blame it on chocolate or coffee...I am a beef eater...love all things beef...maybe that was the start of my problems...can't blame it on the chickens cause chicken is my least favorite as well as eggs..

    maybe it was blowing dandelions ....

    how about "cancer cooties"?  I just had my first experience I think of someone sort of distancing themselves from me and my cancer cooties.   I have to admit I probably did the same thing before...a little bit anyway.  So cancer cooties!!!! Maybe I caught cancer cooties from someone!

    It was the Los Angeles, CA, Helm's Bakery fresh, warm, raised dougnuts!

    They were too good not to have caused problems!  Much lighter than Krispy Cremes, ohhhhh, the yellow truck from the Helm's Bakery man.  Memmmmmm-reeeees, light the corners of my tummy...

    o my goodness - talking of donuts - I sure hope it isn't Tim Horton's donuts - most of Canada would be in  big trouble! They were at almost every meeting I ever attended in my working days and might possibly have found their way home on more than one occasion.

    I ain't proud... I admit wolfing down plenty of Dunkin Donuts... yes, that's right, Dunkin.  Glazed and jelly filled.  

    And we used to make walls of the styrofoam containers from McDonalds after eating tons of McThis and McThat.

    Lassie, we can't blame it on Timmy's, if so, my hubby would have had BC long before me!

    Maybe it is the silly computers we sit in front of all day! Face it, most of us use them at work and at home. Hey it is better than blaming chocolate!

    Yes I worked on computer plenty working retail,being in the payroll dept, or could it be that sitting too close o the TV really was not good for you?
