This info seems very sensible.  The insulin factor really makes sense to me, although I think he left dietary influences out of his list of ways to cut risk, but sugar is sugar, so if insulin is a factor, I'd think that cutting out as much processed food and sugar from our diet as possible would be helpful.

 I disagree, however, that "walking the dog" doesn't count as brisk exercise.   He's never met my Labrador Retriever if he thinks this!
