EWB- facial was definitely the right choice! I had a nice scrub myself
arnie- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
deborye- I want those shoes!
julz- it's all your fault. you are the pied piper of pennants. first, I had to make one because NYC had to represent... then I checked yours and saw I hadn't included the Foob Fighters, so I had to make another... and I bough a whole sq yd of the pink felt... and once I had made the stencils, I figured it would be fun to make more... but... then the glue and the glitter gummed up the stencils, and I was trying to wrangle the glitter on the felt with a paintbrush and more glue... while the kid is napping... but also had to close the cat in the bedroom (think of it: cat+ glitter+ glue+felt pennants= oh please)
glitter... is... everywhere.
everywhere.
-
Like you had wild, animal sex with a clown?
-
Good morning Escapees!!! Well, hope Arnie had a good birthday. We've got another one tomorrow!!!! ELAAAAAAINE!!! We gotta start planning for the party now. What do you want Elaine? You already had a facial. BTW.......that sounds nice........makes me want to get one too.
Julz.......thanks for giving us an update on Checkum. ((((((((((((((((Checkum))))))))))) hope you're feeling better GF. This is the month. You gotta take good care of yourself. Those animals aren't giving you too much trouble, are they?
I get to escape today and get my hair trimmed. It's getting a little out of hand. Guess I shouldn't gripe about it...........I HAVE HAIR thank the good Lord. But it's at a point where I can't do anything with it. So just a little shaping might help.
Hope you all have a wondermous day!
Hey Rachel.........girl, I know about those pennants. I fretted and fretted over those things for 2 months. Finally put something together and it'll probably fall apart once Checkum hangs it on the tent. Guess it's the thought that counts though
((((((((((((((((((hugs to everybody)))))))))))
-

I have, in recent yrs, discovered manicures, pedicures, facials and massages. Today I went to an "event" at BlueMercury (great store for cosmetics). Trish McEvoy's makeup artist/rep was there. I am discovering skin care and makeup (for mid life).t was amazing how much better I looked (and felt). Guess there is something to this look good, feel good thing.
I was, however, SHOCKED at the receipt when I got home...I will have to take some stuff back (esp since it turns out I have some of the items- too much & recent enough purchases to toss). DH is lovely and all, only wants me to be happy and feel well & would not say anything but this would be over the top. Just could not take advantage of that. Looking good and self care can be VERY expensive. I know its an investment and all but the start up is crazy, crazy, crazy. I don't tend to spend much on these sort of things (unlike many of my dh's collegues wives--quite high maintenence crowd we know) DH got off easy w/ me
.
I am getting tired of being schlumpy and tired looking. I wanna feel pretty again, I wanna feel put together. I'm pretty sure I use to be...where did that person go? Some where along the way I lost ME, and then all this cancer stuff came and I lost even more of what was left of me. I suppose this is a chance to re-create me but where does one start!? how to decide who is the ME I want to create?
Enough about that. Hoping every one is feeling well, no aches and pains, no family stuff...just a sweet day...Hugs all around
