Yikes, I posted a pic that seemed kind of funny at the time but I surely DON'T want it at the top of the page. I'll save it for another time.

Ahhhhhhhhh c'mon Sharon... that's quite a tease...lol
-
I have a Corgi (named Katie) that looks JUST like that, except she hates having her pic taken. She runs and hides when I take out the camera....unlike this cool kitty here:

ARNIE@!!!!!! I'm sooooo sorry I missed your Birthday!! Well, a heartfelt belated BDay to you!! How's Mr. Arnie doing?
Great pix as usual, ladies!!!! Jane (was it you who asked?), my dog Foxy was a stray who was mistreated and abandoned when he was 6 months old. Then he wandered around my town after the pound rescued him for all of 3 days, then he accidentally escaped & was on his own for the next 6 months. Showed up in my yard to play with my neighbors dog & I managed to coax him into letting me adopt him (took 10 days!). When I got him into the house, I didn't know if he'd eat my cat (which was Velcro, the gray one in the first photo), but he trembled so much inh my arms that Velcro (who was dog savvy) marched right up to hi, raised his tail in a hello & touched noses with him right away. Foxy was instantly smitten & they were pals from then on. Foxy, I think, was just so darn grateful to have a home again, he bent over backwards to get us to let him stay. Have had him now for 13 years. He's my teddy bear.
Another better late than never item, here's one for our recent July4th holiday. These are my girlfriends chickens:
-
sweet story Kathi! Foxy is so lucky to have wondered into your yard
Thanks for the birthday wishes...and I always share the cake....looks yummy
-
Oh Kathi...........LOVE the chickens!!!!!
-
Sharon, here's a better file version of them. They are a riot. They roost on my GF's front porch rail at dusk & we have to carry them into their henhouse!! LOL BTW, appropriately enough, they are Rhode Island Reds.
-
Oh KAK that is too precious!!! lol I was up at my friend's house during winter one year ... she lives up near the Mackinaw Bridge in upper Michigan. Anyway, we were sitting talking at her dining room table and some turkeys came down the lane and proceeded to start jumping up into the pine trees! I never, before that day knew that turkeys nested in pine trees at night. They didn't fly up they would jump until they landed on a branch and then manuever themselves into the pine tree. Hilarious!!!
-
Awwhhh I love chickens and roosters. My kitchen is decorated with roosters. They have such beautiful colors and go with anything for decorating.
-
I had two pet chickens one summer. A skunk got in to the chicken coup and killed all but 2 on the farm next door. So I looked after them. They followed me everywhere............literally for miles. Then in the fall I went home so I'm sure they ended up on someone's plate. But with all the exercise they got they'd have been tougher than shoe leather.............

Coonie says, "don't forget to floss every day".
-
Sure do gotta floss.........that's how I keep my nice teeth
