mets to kiney

I have had ILC since '98 with mets since '02.  I have been on chemo most of the time since '02.I have mets to the gastric lining, bones, and abdominal lining.Recently, I have been having pain that acts like kidney stones but tests show no stones.  My kidney is swollen and it is assumed that the problem is mets but it has not shown up on ultrasound or CT scan.  However, these do show a "blockage".  My oncologist says that if ca could be visualized that perhaps I could have an ablations.  Has anyone had any similar experience?

    Hi Quilter,  I know people on the Stage IV threads have had ablations, although the ones I remember were to the liver.  Perhaps the same question on the stage IV thread will give you more results.  The women there are experienced and very willing to help.  I hope you can get relief soon from the blockage.  HUGS.     Gitane, thank your for replying.  However, I don't know what the "stage IV thread" means,  I am not familiar with the term.  Please explain.  Hugs back.  Quilter

    She means the Stage IV forum.  It's 4 below the ILC forum/discussion board.

    Hi Quilter,  I just checked back in and got your message.  konakat is right.  I should have said "Forum" not thread. For example, this is the "ILC Forum", and this is the "mets to kidney" thread you started.  When you are logged in you can go to the top of this page (or any page) and click "Forum Index", near the top of the page.  Then go just below the ILC forum and click on Stage IV forum. Then post your questions there by starting a thread  there just as you did here.  I am sure you will get responses there.  Hope this helps you. G.
