Ok I think I know but I don't

So I went and met with the my onc on Friday he is TOTALLY awesome. There is no sign of cancer anywhere else in my body based on the CT scans that I had. Yeah. However I did meet with my breast surgeon today to discuss the 2nd biospy and he said that i actually have two different types of cancer in my right breast. The first is Ductal Carcinoma and the second tumor closer to the chest wall is mucinous cancer. I am scheduled to start the chemo in July. Before we do that I need to meet with the fertility specialists to see about preserving my fertility. I think the fact that I am planning for the future kind of caught him off guard. That's kind of unnerving, or maybe just bold on my part. I gotta say though  that this DOC is AWESOME. Ladies if you are even close to the Georgetown/Myrtle Beach area you want to see Craig  Brackett, there are no stones that he leaves unturned and he is aggressive when it comes to your life and he is BRUTALLY honest. So the third tunor that they thought was cancer turns out to NOT be cancer. Because of the position of the tumors mastecomy is the only option but you know I can totally LIVE with that! So if you have any encouragement to add I would love to hear from you. As always thanks ladies. Just kind of getting this out of my head:)

I don't have any special words -- I'm fairly new myself -- but it sounds like you're in great hands, which is a huge and important piece. And why wouldn't you be planning for the future?  Of course you are!  You've absolutely got the right attitude, and that's another huge and important piece!  Hang in there and post whenever you feel like it, for whatever reason you like -- this is my vent, ask-stupid-questions, say whatever outlet!

Do you know what chemo you'll be getting yet?  When is your surgery?  How are you  holding up?  (You sound great but it can be a roller coaster....)

An aside:  I grew up going to Edisto Island (back before it got fancified) :) and love that area... my mom is from Easley/Norway.  Tell the ocean I said hello! :)

    And hang in there...
