    cheleve: Did you miss my post on Rapid Lash? It is on the previous page. It works just like Latisse for only $50. I bought mine at CVS.

    I've been reading your posts and realize my hair journey will require a lot of patience. I just finished my second treatment yesterday. About two weeks after tx1 my hair started to fall. I put up with that for about five days and then went to buzz it. Now I have a very stubbly head. You can see some bald spots, but mostly stubble. I am regretting the buzz, because it looks like a lot of stubble. My question is, in about two weeks from this treatment with the rest fall? The stubble hurts, and I don't want to shave because of cuts.... I also shaved my legs a couple of days ago and I have stubbly legs.. 

    Any advice?

    Rinna~ I never lost all of it but I am glad that I buzzed it.  The strands of hair all over the place where driving me crazy.  What chemo. are you on ??

    Rinna, most of the stubble will come out. You can help remove it by buying one of those sticky roller lint removers and rubbing it over your head. That will pick up the loose hairs and help with the painful itchy feeling.

    Hi everyone...I will soon be joining you girls (thank goodness) on this thread since my last chemo is in 2 weeks! I was wondering when can I start taking biotin?

    Apple, that is so funny!!  Love the extra thick "bangs"!!!

    ccbaby - you should be able to start taking biotin now, it is a B-vitamin product.  It's not considered an antioxidant, so it shouldn't interfere with what the chemo is supposed to be doing.  I've been taking it for about 5 weeks and I know it's helped my hair come along, especially my brows.

    Here I am at 2 months exactly post chemo (4/23/09).  I think I might have been a little further along if it hadn't been for 2 1/2 weeks of folliculitis right after the chemo!!

    Here I am exactly 2 months out of chemo (4/23/09).  Was wishing it were thicker and fuller, but it will get there.  Darn folliculitis delayed me by almost three weeks!!!  Don't know why there are 2 of the same image, but I consider it a victory that I actually got this thing in here at all!!!

    One day Chelev you will wake up, look in the mirror and say wow it IS growing..Once my hair got to that point, it seemed to take off big time! Still growing like a weed too!

    Chelev you are down right beautiful. How old are you you look about 23. I am not as long as you and am mostly scalp and I'm 10 weeks pfc. What blue eyes you have.

    Chevel - I am not blowing smoke or sucking up!!  But!!  I have met you face to face, so I have to tell you!  You look ten years younger in the new pics with the short "do" than you you do in person with the bandanna!  Bare it all girl!!!  You look great!

    Wow, thanks ladies!!!!  That, plus my brow shaping this afternoon has really boosted my self esteem, especially with the loss of my lashes!!   Bold, I am 46.  I have a 25 year old daughter.  I've been blessed with few wrinkles, though I thank the extra weight I am carrying for keeping my cheeks "fashionably" full!

    Lisa, I am almost ready to do that . . . just really want to not be as shiny on top.  Getting there, though!!

    chelev, hey that is great that is what i looked like at 10-12 weeks and i didn't have the problems you had so you are doing as good as i did, by 16 weeks it was amazing how thick it got it did not seem like it was growing to me but i compaired pictures and was amazed now it is 21 weeks and  is 1 1/2 on top and a little more everywhere else.  it grows fast once it takes hold and you are there.   and wow the curls are awesome i love it i always had real straight hair. it is fun to play with it started to curl about 18 -19 weeks for me wavy until that point.   hair i love it i am human again no more chemo girl here.  good riddens to her hope to never see her again.        happy hair day to everyone        sharon

    I got my neck trimmed up yesterday and a little around the ears too.  My co-workers say I am getting a wave pattern in the back.  Still very, very short, but nice and full.  I am so tired of short hair.  I look like I am 100 years old.

    Listen to me!  3 months ago I was bald!  Now I am an old looking man/girl.

    I should take a pic and post.

    Lisa, here you, first you're happy not to be bald, then mad its not at your shoulders yet. I'm like you, its growing very slowly but its thick.  Tired of sweat running down my face and pooling in my ears because I no longer have enough hair to absorb it

    Lisa - thanks for the encouragement - I might start doing errands without the bandana, we'll see.  Have a really big birthmark on the back of my head, kind of like the Target logo, that I didn't know was there (duh, how would I have ever seen it with hair??), that I'd like to have covered, plus the little red marks that need to still fade from the folliculitis.  Doesn't give me a nice clean scalp, but . . it is so much cooler without anything on the head!!

    I think you had great coverage when I met with you, but I get where you are going with this - now it seems like it is hardly growing and if you compare photos from last year, well, it can be downright depressing!  I've been mulling how I want to wear my hair this time around when it finally gets to that point (maybe this time next year??) and I don't think I want it as long as I was wearing it, to mid back, but I'll probably change my mind a thousand times before that!

    Would love to meet you for lunch, but this weekend tied up with family schtuff - it's the endless round of birthday parties.  wheee!

    kmmd - I am with ya girl!  The sweat running down the back of my neck is driving me nuts!  And this ostrich phase - pleeze!

    chelev - Going topless around the house and in the yard would probably be good for the folliculitis.

    Oh definitely.  I haven't had any more recurrances, so I think the combination of all of the antibiotics and the fresh air have cured it!

    At least it's not in the triple digits, but it is still hot and steamy out there - tried to get some gardening done, gave up - my eyelids were sweating.

    Chelev, great pic!  Your hair is going to start filling in so quickly, you're not even going to notice it. 

    Mine is continuing to grow.  It's about ready for another dye job but I'm holding off for as long as I can.  It doesn't seem to be growing in length as much as it is in thickness.  It's good though because all of the thin spots in the front and top are filled in nicely.  I had my boyfriend trim my neck with his clippers the other day.  I was starting to look like wolf man. 

    Here is my most recent pic - taken today at my desk with my camera phone.  I hate this picture but you can see my hair - 15 weeks PFC.... :)

    I had straight hair for 44 years and no hair since October.  Now I have a little bit of straight hair.  I want a lot of curly hair.  Wah!

    Oh Jane, all I can say is "be careful what you wish for!"

    All of you taking pictures, keep it up. I am almost 9 month PFC and I take a picture at the end of every month. It helps me to see the growth. I have about 4 and 1/2 inches of hair and it is super curly. Really hard to do anything with it. If I curl it, to try and tame it I just get BIG hiar. I am going July 10 to an upscale salon to have my hair and make up done. I have never done anything like this before. So I am hyped!

    The bangs are the worse, mine still aren't quite long enough. Girls showing your pics, you all look great and I love seeing them.

    Lori, I agree!!  Just last summer, I was wishing I could take my long hair off for a while while I was working outside doing boat photo shoots.  Well . . . certainly got what I wished for, now didn't I?  I'll never make statements like THAT again!!

    I don't miss having long hair at all right now.  The temps here in Texas are in the triple digits now and it's really nice not having to worry about fixing my hair everytime I go outside.   Someone came into the office yesterday that I haven't seen in awhile and the first thing he said to me was "you cut your hair!".   That felt kind of good.
