HELP! Need Info Mom just Diagnosed with IBC

I am the oldest child of 4 to a mother just diagnosed with IBC, yesterday. I am the only adult child the others are still teenagers. I have done about a gizzillion hours of research on IBC on the net, (hence finding this site)!  I am sure there is alot of info for me to still take in and find. However my biggest role right now is to support her and my siblings to get her through this. I am not sure yet what stage she is in. I do not know much to be honest only that they have done needle core (guided) biopsy and are more than likely going to start Chemo this week, before doing a non-directed biopsy of her breast. What can i do as a daughter,and sister, what are we all in for with this fight, I know I will never be completely prepared for this, however Id like to be educated (not sugar coated)..... Please any of the information you can give me Im sure will be helpful! Thank you in advance.

    Whoa!  Don't panic!  Take a breath....It will all work out- I know you are terrified right now.  This is the hardest part - for everyone- the waiting.  ONce you get a plan and can talk to the oncologist it will not all seem so crazy.  No one knows what they are in for with this crappy disease- some people do better than others- and lots are cured!  There is a forum on this sight for just IBC diagnosis- there will be lots of knowledge there if you want to visit it.  Know that lots of prayers for your mother can be found here, and lots of questions can be answered.  Someone will come along soon that knows about IBC- hang in there.  Peace to you and your mother- Tami

    Thank you! Obviously you can tell I am still in some kind of shock or disbelief over this! Your words mean alot and you sound just like my mother! Coincidently her name is Tammy, HOW WEIRD!!! Thank you so much for your kind words and your direction, I will continue to post! THank you again!
