POSITIVE THOUGHTS!!!!!

I've been reading through a lot of the posts and I feel like I should designate myself an OFFICIAL CHEERLEADER of this Board. O.k. sure none of us wanted breast cancer to begin with and sure if we had our choice we wouldn't be Triple Negative........am I right? Let's all think positive! In a few weeks I'll be starting 9 chemo treatments 2 weeks apart. Do I want to do that? Heck no but I will. I WILL because I'm about to turn 38, I have 2 children, I have a husband who I adore and I have friends and family who need me as much as I need them.
So, I know we are all going to have our bad days and throw ourselves a few pity parties (trust me I've thrown a few) but the BOTTOM LINE is we are still here. This is a speed bump in the road of our lives.......we'll ride it out and pray the whole time!!!!!! This is no surprise to God....he knows what we are going through and He will help us get through!!!!! God tells us he WANTS us to pray for what we want. He may or may not answer our prayers in OUR time but he'll dang sure make sure it happens in His time!!!! We have to trust and believe.
Things COULD be worse........we could have gotten hit by a bus yesterday but did we? Nope. There are so many things that could be worse, it's all in how you look at it. I choose to be a POSITIVE PERSON and do whatever it is I have to do. I don't get on the internet much and google much because heavens to betsy that stuff will scare the bejeebers out of ya. I love websites like these though because if we have a problem or a question you better believe somebody has walked this road before us and we'll be able to answer those questions for the gals that walk the road after us.
So, let's keep our chins up!!!! Let's keep positive attitudes!!!!! DO NOT RESEARCH STUFF ON THE INTERNET (my own personal opinion) and do what your Dr's think is best for you.
That's what I'm gonna do and I'm gonna pray God gets me through!!!!! "If God will bring it to us, he'll bring us through it".

Hi, I agree with you, I am coming up to my 11 year post treatment mark and doing fine. It helps to know that a lot of TriNegs are okay.
We are planning a cruise to Alaska Sept 1st, to re-visit the places we went when we took our three month motorhome tour there 20 years ago, I am sure there are many changes.
Life goes on for most of us, and the trick is to get through this year and plan on a long life.
Gentle hugs, Shirlann

Tabatha, I think the thing that helps me the most when my thoughts turn dark regarding my triple negative status, is that I then make myself remember that there are many triple negs out there NOT writing in to cancer forums, but are living their lives and doing just fine.

Hi. I am three years after diagnosis and doing just fine, thank God. I agree with Linda about the people just not writing on the forums. Hang in there...I did 18 rounds of chemo and if I can make it....anyone can!

Hello Joyce
Would you mind me asking what chemo you had please?
-
Hey Tabatha
love yr link....just my kind of thinking!
Be positive, Live life king size, look to the brighter side of things..... these have started to be my motto.
I have a lot to live for and brooding over things that i cant change will not help.

My Battle - My Victory
Yesterday I fought a Battle, But I did not fight alone-I had a Protector - A Guide, I was never on my own
This enemy came to me suddenly, No warning as to prepare-
And before I knew what happened, this enemy was everywhere.
I felt so overwhelmed; Did no one know my pain?
How could this be happening to me, How did it know my name?
Today I fight this battle, The enemy with me still
It has not yet taken control, Nor has it broke my will
It is hurtful and it is cruel, It doesn't care the damage it causes
It is wearing down my defenses; I can soon count my losses.
It is ruthless and emotionless, Its purpose to destroy
I can not, must not let it, Will not let it have control
Hear me when I tell you, Please listen when I say
I have many scars from this battle; I do struggle from day to day
It takes many things from me; Within my body it has much power
It affects loved ones around me; The battle has become a war
You may not know by looking at me, Then again maybe you can,
That this enemy shows no mercy, I fall when I can no longer stand
It does not care what age you are, or your status here on Earth
It doesn't count your income, or what you think you are worth
This battle that I speak of, Cancer is its name
And because I continue to fight, I will never be the same!
Tomorrow may never come for me; I live only in the present
My life is right here, right now, What I have is this very moment
But I will continue to fight, For I learned down on my knees
is where I fight this battle, It is where God gives me the victory.

This is my first post. I am new to all of this. I have been lurking alot but just now am posting. I LOVE the idea of the positivity. GOD knows we need it. I am in the middle of chemo. I just completed #6 of my 12 taxol. Then I will be doing the last 4. I am not sure what the last 4 are. I do know they are given every three weeks. THANKS FOR THE POSITIVE THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!!
