Well, I just got a phone call from my surgical nurse. My surgery has been postponed from day after tomorrow until July 6th. They apparently need my surgical spot for someone who is in a lot worse shape then I am. Not that I really mind, if someone needs surgery more urgently then I do but it was orignally scheduled for the beginning of June, then it was changed to 24th of June now it's changed to July 6th. I'm just wondering how many times they are going to push it back until I'm the one who becomes the "urgent" case.
Then on top of that I went to take a shower this morning and the pipe that comes out of the wall with the shower head on it fell into the tub. So I shut the water off and stepped out of the shower and there is water all over my living area, bedroom area and utility room area. So I've had that mess to deal with today too. Plus it's dialysis day for my dh.
So, I guess it's just another day in the life of....gotta laugh or I would cry.

pabble----my mom had both bc and colon ca--she's a survivor of bc now for over 22 years without a recurrence; survivor of colon cancer (twice) for the last 7 years. Even with that history (and my grandmother had colon ca too and greatgrandmother had bc), my insurance doesn't want to pay for me to have genetic testing (and I have LCIS). We're going to resubmit and try again.

Hi AWB:
You should definately resubmit and try again. Keep on trying.
I had both genetic tests for BC & Colo-rectal cancer. (they still had the tumor from 1999) My results were that it was some sort of fluke or just plain bad luck as the genetic counselor said as a joke.
Anne: Is your mom still working? and what type of work did she do when or if she worked? I'm curious because I'm dealing with the work issue. My last job was very stressful in that I feel it contributed to my second cancer. (BC)
I've also been diagnosed with major depression. I'de love some insight from your mom.
Take care. Pabbie

Wow, you have really been through it and you have my prayers. I just finished chemo for TNBC (IDC) and haven't even started radiation and pow they found lung cancer, 2 small nodes. Is chemo and radiation possible at the same time
