i finished chemo at the end of dec. Had the tumor removed in the middle of feb.Finished radiation at the end of april. I seen my onc. just the other day and was thinking about going back to work, since hubby got laid off [welcome to bush country.] My Dr doesnt do scans without reason.Had to talk her in to giving me one for my own peace of mind.I thought i sure dont want to go back to to work if its some where else in my body. The scan found a lump right at the sugical incision.I am waiting to hear from the surgeon. To see what the new plan is.Did he mess up the first time? I  dont want to do the chemo thing again so soon my hair is just getting to look ok.Radiation didnt stop this one.

Maybe it isn't cancer.  Is it possible that its scar tissue?

It could be scar tissue but have it checked. I had a new primary in the opposite breast 369 days after my first. It was 7 1/2 months after I ended chemo. Here's hoping it's scar tissue...

Yes you are right it could be scar tissue even if it did light up on the pet scan ,i dont think that test is 100% positive

I had an area deep inferior to my lumpectomy light up on a pet.  My surgeon was sure it was scar because my MRI which was 8 weeks earlier was clean save the primary tumor.  Now I have a doubt and don't know what to do.  What did your's turn out to be?
