This just seems to me to be an ad for Resveratol and Dermapril.......And red wine is a no no for a lot of bc patients and dibetics due to sugar content........Just my humble opinion.....

Also this thread is for Healthy Recipes...Maybe this topic should be under the Alternative  Thread.....

I saw the advertisement part too, however, I found the 60 minute report the interesting part.

The possible developement of prescription medication to help many illnesses using high dose Resveratol.  They mention you would have to consume extreme amounts of wine (1000 bottles per day to get teh dose they describe) to get the dose amount giving these benefits found in their research.  So I did not see it as an article to promote drinking wine - which I refuse to drink. It talks about promoting the bodides natural defence with a future prescription of high dose Resveratol - -extending life 20%.  The starter company has been bought by Glaxo pharma and clinical trials are starting on cancer patients.  I hope to hear more about it in the future.

For what it's worth I had been on resveratrol supplements for 6 months BEFORE I suddenly had a 4cm x 4.5cm lump, which turned out to be a sclerosing lesions/ADH, so I wouldn't necessarily put all my faith in it. But it might not hurt. It is an anti-inflammatory.
