A few people have mentioned "Bucket Lists" lately.  So, what would you put on your bucket list?

I want to go to Walt Disney World and ride every ride.  I'm not afraid of rides anymore after what I've been through

I want to take my son deep sea fishing

I'd like my whole family to go on a cruise or special vacation together

I want the two books I have with an illustrator to be published

I want to find an old friend from school that no one has heard from in 25 years

I want to travel route 66 in a camper

I want to visit as many states as possible but the one I really wish is that my childrens story be published.  That I made a difference to someone in their lives.  I want to go in a limo to a plush hotel with my hubby.  I want to take my best friend on a trip.  I want to finish my other stories.

Dream - it's funny that we both write children's stories.  I had one little one-page one published in 2 magazines by Focus on the Family.  I've sold some personalized ones on ebay and I have 2 with a friend who is an artist and she is illustrating them.  I want her to finish and I want to have them published before I go.

Funny you should bring this up--I just found what I wrote last year as my "bucket list." One was to reconnect with childhood friends, and that was accomplished last summer with a neighborhood reunion back in my home town. It was amazing.

I want to learn to sew and make a quilt. And I want to go on a medical mission somewhere. I'm looking into that one already.

After that, it's all about travel and hiking and biking.

I sent Elf Wish to a publisher and they not only didnt read the three pages attached, they did not read the covering letter.  They suggested that I send to a magazine that publishes 250 word stories and EW is over a thousand.  But it has lovely items in it - the Snow Fairy, peppermint striped pansies, elves etc... I dont have an illustrator but I do have proof of when it was written for copywrite.

Don't give up dream.  If you PM me your e-mail address, I'll send you some info on different publishers of children's lit and exactly what they are looking for.  But, you may already have that.

I want to see my adult kids paired off with someone who loves them, and that they love and want to make each other happy.

I want to attend a wedding that my kids are the ones on the alter!  Dammit!!

That doesn't even cover the teeny desire for a grand kid.LOL

I want to make it thru back and knee surgery and already be beyond the recovery.

I want to touch a stranger's life - to have their life better because I was there.

I want to tell my newphew's children about their dad as they grow (he passed away 6/13/09).

I want to be loved just the way I am.

I want to see my sons truly happy.

    Lastly, to have no regrets.

I cannot have no regrets.  I failed at something important to me.  It hangs there as a testiment of not being able to achieve academically.

I too would like to see my children with someone they love and that love them enough to live through their faults.  A wedding would be nice.  More grandchildren would be nice too.

I am hoping that my learning experiences on the sewing machine will still allow me to wear custom made clothing on my next trip.
