FootieAngel just posted her thank you on another thread.
Thanks to all who have contributed ribbons. I know that they mean a lot to the recipients:
Dear Beaches, There is a very nice package I got in the mail, From some wonderful
people. It is so full of love and alot of things I can use. I love the beautiful wreath like
wrap with alot ribbons of names and caring words. God bless you all for sharing all
of this with me, May God smile shine down on you for your thoughtfulness. To
mt wonder family on line. God loves you and so do I, Debbie too

Okay, now I'm on the lookout for pink ribbons. Wish I'd sent one to Checkum with my "LOVELY" pennant. She could add it on couldn't she?
Wallymart, here I come!
-
Perfect Sharon!!
We've started our second page. It only took one year. (Almost to the day.) As you can see, I'm a genius at marketing.
Anyone who still sends me ribbons, I'd be happy to put yours in an envelope and send to our first four recipients...... that way they can add to their boa's.

Great advertising!!

I love this project. I am not exactly an artsy crafty person, but I have made soda/bottle covers out of plastic canvas with "cancer sucks" and passed out when I went for chemo. This scarf project is something I am going to "duplicate" - with your permission - and pass out to at least 2 ladies at the infusion area who are stage 4. I thought of putting some "blank" ribbons and giving a permanent marker so others can autograph it. Am I too old to tell of autograph books we used to have back in our teens?
And I will make some ribbons to send to you, Faith. Gonna pm you in a minute for your address.
Thank you ALL for doing this for others. HUGS, Nancy
-
LOL, well we ALL know from the Escape thread I'm hardly artsy crafty but.............I think this is a grand idea.
-
Oh and Faith, thankyou for offering to send any 'late' ribbons.........
-
Faith I have to get through my Current Project before I get into the Next.....But already the Ideas are Going Round in the Brain!!!! Hopefully Not to get LOST!!! LOL!
Sharon You can do this!!!!!!
-
LOLOL, yep Julz, I think the ribbon project is more my speed.
-
Bumping this so others can join in.
I am experimenting with different kinds of ribbon and fabric markers. So far, most "bleed" on the ribbon I have. I could not find a laundry marker pen, but that is on my list.
Those who embroider could put your name and a message??? Just throwing out ideas.
-
Try a Sharpie Nancy. Or ask Faith 'cause I think she's got WAY more experience with this kind of stuff than I do. I do however make great dog beds.
What's embroider?
-
LOL, sharon... I do not have a dog, but went to the Dog dress up halloween parade with my "invisible dog". This is a very dog friendly town. Your poochie looks so cute.
-
Bumping to keep on the active list
-
Oh, I would love to see a picture of footies boa! I bet it is so cool.
-
Bumping for Susan to check out.
-
bumping again in case Susan slept in today.
-
I finally made it in to the city on Thurs.................to Wallymart and lo and behold...............no fabric dept. any more. Next stop, $ store.
-
NANCY!!!!! Your ribbons arrived yesterday.
With all of my concern for Saint, I forgot to thank you.
They're perfect.
As you can see -- the only challenge is finding a writing utensil/pen/marker that works on the specific ribbon you've selected.
Yours are beautifully done and will enliven the three scarves I have underway.

-
faith, glad they arrived. You are very welcome. Want more? HUGS, Nancy
-
Nancy try JoAnn Fabrics or Michaels Craft Store or Hobby Lobby...All 3 of these carry laundry marking pens.....If you can't find one PM me and I will see if I can get one for you....Faith I PM'd you for where to send Footie some ribbons!........Hugs and love.......
-
I used a sharpie with good results, hollyann.
-
Nancy...... I'll use as many ribbons as you send!!
My goal is to get these next three scarves assembled on the drive back to OH at the end of the month. So anyone that can get me ribbons by about June 26th or 27th will be included on these next scarves.
-
Faith: I have been cranking out neck coolers for my brother, who has several friends who are Vietnam vets. Of course it is HOT and humid and only will get worse, so I have to get these sewn and mailed before 4th of July, then I will do more ribbons. I have Herceptin (next to last one) on the 25th, and maybe I can get some ribbons done if my neuropathy isn't acting up again.
-
Just keep me posted...... I can always get these 'constructed' and just wait for yours to be added at the very end.
-
Hi Faith how is your trip going?......Hope you are having a great time!.....
-
A few went in the mail today. Hope they get to you in time.
-
Bumping up to generate some more interest.
-
Nancy -- your second batch arrived in time!! Your pink fabric-tube-laces are amazing!!
-
Faith hope you got my ribbons in time!......Hope all you ladies are doing well.....I have more to make and send next week........
-
Glad you got them faith. Keep up the good work.
