Advocates/Volunteers available for support?

For those of us whose family member with bc lives in a completely different geographical location, is anyone aware of an organization that has volunteers/advocates that can accompany a person to medical appointments for support if we, as the family member, can't be there in person?   Obviously this would be location-specific in my case, but any lead would help.  Thanks.
