Need Gift Ideas
My 22 year old married daughter is graduating on June 13th with her teaching degree. She went through an accelerated 3 year program in 2 years. Needless to say, I am extremely proud of her. I want to get her something special for all that she's accomplished. Besides a gold apple charm or the "#1 Teacher" charm, I need ideas on what to get her. HELP!

How about a gift certificate to a teacher supplies store? There is one in Santa Rosa that I drive past all the time. Or art supplies? Good luck. I hope you get lots of great ideas.
I live in Fort Bragg, CA also. I'm new to this site and 10 weeks post op double mastectomy.

A really nice briefcase/messenger bag?

How is her wardrobe? The clothes that you wear to class as a student are not the same as you wear as a teacher, especially if the students are older (don't want to be mistaken for a high school student when you are staff).
You might also ask some of her friends who have been in class with her. They may have some good ideas.

I second messanger bag. She is going to need something to hold all the papers / tests she will be marking.
For more $$..a laptop.

I like the messanger bag idea too. Congratulations!!!

We have a dear friend graduating from high school and going into college ... I was thinking of a back pack or messenger bag ... but I wanted it to be something with sentimental value? What could I get that would not break the bank?

I love this zip-top tote. Its got pockets inside and out.

How about a hand bell, like the ones teachers used at recess?

When my daughter graduated university I bought her a pair of hoop earrings that were chanel diamonds. They were tiny diamonds and very fine hoops(not expensive) but I figured it was something she couldn't afford and didn't have right now. She loves, loves, loves them.

Get her a name plate for her desk...?? Tami

Thanks for all the great ideas! As a joke I want to buy her one of those "teacher vests." Her husband told her he NEVER wanted to see her in one of those!

A spa weekend before she joins the ranks.
Let her indulge herself with relaxation. A mud bath, salt wrap and hot rock massage will have her feeling like there's nothing she can't conquer. If you're available to share it with her - so much the better. Or she could take her BFF.
congrats, mom
