The 'Arm Wave' Exercises for it
You know how that flab on the bottom of your arm waves at everyone.
Mine has gotten so much worse this past year
I worked hard for so long to have nice arms.
So what are some good things to try to tone that area?
Thanks,
Pam

Here's a link to all the standard batwing exercises.

I am struggling with these, too. I'm not overweight but my triceps look like crap.

Good link, Tina. One thing that they didn't mention is good old pushups - they work wonders on arms, pecs and back.

Pam,
You might also want to post this on the "Fitness and Getting Back in Shape" board!

Thanks for the Link Tian.
Thanks Lisa- I forgot about that board!
I will post there.
I just did the Plant. Was able to hold it for 15 sec. Used to do 45 easily.
Did 6 push ups with my Knees bent. Just about killed me. LOL. I can still feel it in my Pecs/implants
I better massage those babies- LOL

Pam, it's interesting that you should mention flabby under-arms (triceps). I was just saying something to my 80+ year old mother about that a few weeks ago, because mine are getting flabby. She replied, "Oh, that happens to all women. It's just part of getting old. There's nothing you can do about it."
I protested that I was sure older women who continue to stay in shape and lift weights probably don't have flabby arms. But, she insisted, "Oh, yes they do. You can't prevent it--it happens to all women, and there is nothing you can do to stop it."
<sigh> We'll see about that. I love my mom, but her advice about the aging process is invariably pessimistic. I have to resist the temptation to tell her I would like the chance to grow old, period!
BTW, that was a great website, Tina. I won't be doing any pushups, though. They are very bad for someone like me who already has mild lymphedema in her at-risk arm. Gotta go easy at first, and no way can I push up my body weight--or even part of it--with that arm.

I read once, somewhere, that the reason triceps get so flabby is that we don't normally use them in daily living at all. At least the biceps get constant workout. For this reason, we need to do targeted triceps exercises.
Now, if only I could do JUST those exercies and have them work. I always hear that you have to work out your whole body if you want things to work but I have my doubts. Why can't you just work a selected muscle group?
Anyway, I'm too lazy to go whole hog. Bah.

this is a great site for all sorts of exercises, below is the link for triceps. go to the bottom of the page - not the ads at the top.
