Hi, just wondeirng if anyone went through ICSI treatment prior to starting Chemo?

I'm due to start this procedure in a few days and am now getting worried about the risk of Ovarian Cancer.  Just wondering if anyone has gone through the procedure and any info would be very helpful.

Thanks

why ovarian cancer risk? The chemo shuts down the ovarian function and puts you in manopause and I don't know if that triggers ovarian cancer. maybe other gals can help here.

    what is ICSI anyway?

Are you DCIS or IDC? I saw your signatur of DCIS. If DCIS, it doesn't need chemo. Do you also have family history of BC?

    Hi,

ICSI is like IVF and stimulates the Ovaries, this is where the risk with Ovarian Cancer could be.

Yes I have a history of BC and my Onc now wants to get me genetically tested after Chemo.

I'm IDC, my mistake on my signature.

    Thanks for your help.
