-
I love the curtains- did you make them or is this a picture for magazine? Great idea woth the door knobs.
-
Hey ladies! EWB It's a pic off the web...had been looking at ideas for old door knobs and just loved it!
-
SPAR. Miss you and sure would love to see all the crafts you must be making.
Summer is fun and I was tweeked by Arnie's watermelons. (LOVE them)
so I searched back in memory and remembered my Mom making us beach bags
out of older beach towels that had been thru the waves and back.
They were so neat and we could throw them all over the place and she wouldn't
care.
I actually found a picture kind of what they looked like.
We didn't have the fancy lining and they sure washed and dried nice.

-
Thanks Sahalie, about the watermelons... I love looking at something and thinking...ok what can I do with that...lol
Love the bag...looks like they'd be a neat thing to whip up for the grandkids..
(JT won Survivor...YEAH)
Spar...where are you????

I know this is off topic but...I ask for help. My mother (Ruth) had a colonoscopy today and a large polyp was found. It is possible that it is cancerous but we won't know until Thursday for biopsy results. Either way it will need to be removed. My Dad died in 11/07 so she is in the house alone, trying to go thru everyday motions while waiting. She is a strong woman, but I know she is worried about this. Would you say a prayer for her, that it is benign, that feel the calm and support from our Lord God while waiting, that she know that she is not alone in this, what ever it is.
Thank you dear sisters..Elaine
-
YES of course Elaine. Bless your Mother. She certainly has had to endure way to much.
Are you her only child? There are so many helpful agencies you can call now to find what she will need at home to assist her and whomever cares for her. Did the hospital social worker talk to you about her in home care? CNA's are outstanding. Ask to speak to your Mom's support person and or the social worker so your Mom has the in home care arranged for her homecoming.
They usually have a network of the most loving and caring in home care givers for a reasonable fee. They cannot do anything invasive by law but can and are able to just about "everything."
I wish you and your Mom all the best. Prayers for your Mom. Get your rest so you can be there for her.
XOXO. Sahalie

Sahalie, love the bag, what a great bag for the beach.
Arnie, how cool are those watermelon slices, now I am thinking of making some steps whole round ones that look like watermelons. thank you so much for that idea.
EWB, we are a bunch of prayer warriors her and Ruth will be on my prayer lists. I will try to check in Thursday evening for the b9 results. Praying for you also EWB. You are a strong wonderful woman.
So glad JT won survivor. I haven't had much computer times lately, been getting ready to go on vacation, you know cleaning, laundry, packing, flights for mom and other family, Tom and I are driving.
Will check back as time allows, am trying to find someone to take my dog now, am making arrangements for neighbor to come over and feed and water cats daily. Need to clean and vacuum the car and clean out the trunk. I haven't done any crafts this week so nothing to post.
I too loved the curtains on the old door knobs, the old rock cottage house I grew up in all the doors had the glass knobs. love them. Also love the small glass knobs that are on cabinets in old houses.
God Bless, hugs and love Sherry
-
Prayng for Ruth today, and all my breast sisters in need. hugs. sherry
-
EWB, I will keep your mom in my prayers. Hope all will be benign!!
-
Spar, Sahalie and Candie- thank you for your prayers! I am really hoping the results are ready as the doc said they would be on Thursday, don't want her to wait thru the weekend.. Will let you know

-
Its a short test sock I did the heal turn but now I'm having trouble with the gusset. I ordred a great dvd by Nenah Galati called Sock 1 with two circular needles. She shows it step by step the gusset is a little confusing though.

Arnie: Beautiful girl. I'm glad it came out big - that way we can see the details. She done good!
-
Arnie, I wanna come spend a week with you and take lessons. That is beautiful and so is your girl. I am in the process of making some ragtie flip flops from some material I got a friend but she didn't want. I think it would work better with pinking shears maybe. Not turning out too good or maybe wider cuts. Not sure.

Whoops, got 3 toes in the picture. LOL

And nicely painted toes they are. I don't know - the shoe looks pretty good to me Spar.
