I agree with Merilee sharing her vacation with us...PLEASE!  Cool

Well atleast we know that we will have Barbe's after a week or so to enjoy!  Laughing

Hope I didn't miss anyone or anything...I need to start taking notes when I go back through the thread!

Checkum, do I detect just a small hint of "bonding" with the piggies?Kiss  (Wagging tails, how cute is that?)

Hahaha, well maybe the pic doesn't portray the real thing so well.

I can't get my pics to upload. Can I send them to someone who knows how to do it? Any takers?

I was on Holbox Island which is very pristine and primitive, then a day in Cancun which is lovely as well.

The piggies and I are good friends now - they let me scratch their backs and they will take food from my hand.  They are characters to watch.  I get some relaxation out of just watching them enjoy food.  LOL

Oh Checkum, I love watching animals eat too, especially cows, horses and (of course) pigs.  It IS so relaxing.  I love the sounds of contentment they make.........and the smells on their breath.  Dogs not so much.........mine hoses it down like I am the BEST cook in the world.  And his breath smells like fishy dog food.  Tongue out

Merilee..... I'm soooooooo eager to see your island.

Keep working at the posting -- it will bring us all such a thrill.

COONIE: NYC!! I have so many silly stories of the big apple from over the years. Top three:

1.) There was the time my girlfriend and I went into the city during summer camp hiatus. Her car was towed & we spent an entire 18 hours attempting to get it back from the impound lot. In the end it was a good thing that we were young & attractive, cuz the shift changed and we were able to talk the new guy into letting us pay, even tho we had no proof it was her car. LOL.

2.) Then there was the time my mom, sis and I went for a long weekend together. We were taking a tour, and in a typical 'small-town' manner, kept looking up at the skyline. My mom stepped RIGHT into newly poured concrete cement sidewalk and had to ask the guys to unearth her shoe. My quite proper mom was mortified. Sis & I thought it was hilarious.

3.) On that same trip, my mom & I had packed together into her huge suitcase. I had a small little shoulder bag as well. My mom forgot the code to unlock the huge suitcase..... so we stuffed EVERYTHING into my little bag. The taxi came to take us to the airport. He could barely lift the little bag. Then he braced himself to pick up the huge case and nearly threw it over the cab, cuz of course it was empty. Needless to say, he thought we were loons.

We still laugh about #'s 2 & 3 to this day. That's what made the trip memorable. I don't even remember the shows we saw -- but the shoe in the cement will live in my mind forever. ENJOY!!

I'll always remember the feeling of standing in Grand Central Station at 5:00. Talk about LOONIE!

    edited for tired typos.

hmmmmm. Merrilee. I think you're getting really close.

when i click the link, there is a beach picture there!!

now you just have to use the little "tree" icon in this header to insert your image, from Photobucket...... once you get it figured out, you'll wonder how it took you so long.

p.s. I had a dear friend named Merrilee back a gazoodle of years ago. I don't suppose you ever sold Discovery Toys, in a former lifetime? anyhow, it always makes me smile, just to see your name. (She was my manager.)

You did it, You did it, you DID it, you did IT!!

**Now all you have to figure out is how to 'size' the thing, so it doesn't stretch the page around the corner.

You keep the numbers in proportion to each other, as in the original, but don't let either side go more than about 500, 600 max.

hehe Faithie...........funny stories. I hope I don't top them (lol) I'll probably walking around with my mouth openSurprised Not that I judge anybody and I think everybody needs to be their own person and whatever makes them tick. But when you've lived such a sheltered life as I have, I just stand in awe at some things that I see or hear:) I'll let you gals know. I'll take good notes............hehe

Wish you all were going with me! We could escape on #32. Sharon, since it's so close, come on over to Times Square and we can sit and watch the people :)

Wow Merilee, what a great pic to wake up to this morning.

Ya Coonie, we'd make quite a pair in NYC.  Likely we'd fit right in.

Nice Meriliee! You have an option, just before you post, so click 'MEDIUM' and they should come out fine. I wish I could remember how, cause I'll be doing it in a couple weeks!

Deb, I laughed OUT LOUD at the suitcase incident. I can just see y'all wincing as he lifts the small bag and wide-eyed as he throws the big one! hehehehehhee

Checkum, you just like watching them fatten up! Wink

I know this is off topic but...I ask for help. My mother (Ruth) had a colonoscopy today and a large polyp was found. It is possible that it is cancerous but we won't know until Thursday for biopsy results. Either way it will need to be removed. My Dad died in 11/07 so she is in the house alone, trying to go thru everyday motions while waiting.  She is a strong woman, but I know she is worried about this. Would you say a prayer for her, that it is benign, that feel the calm and support from our Lord God while waiting, that she know that she is not alone in this, what ever it is.

    Thank you dear sisters..Elaine
