Hair Loss
I started chemo May 7 - TCH. This is my first visit to this site and I have a couple of questions. When I reply to a topic and if someone replies back to me, will it come to my inbox?...or do I have to keep checking back to each topic that I've posted a comment?
So far I've found it very informative and look forward to building relationships on here.
Also, wondering if everyone loses their hair on this treatment? (Carboplatin, Taxotere, Herceptin)...and when does it start to happen? Today is day 10 for me.
Thanks! I hope I hear back from some of you! Have a blessed day!

Hi Ipeters
If people respond with a public post, it will not come to your inbox, you need to check back. One way to do so easily is to go to the "my home" tab. There is will list your recent posts, so you can click on your own recent post, and easily get back to the forum you posted on
Everyone looses their hair on this regimen. For me it started about day 17. As soon as it started coming out, I went and had it shaved. Much less messy that way. See the hair loss thread "hair hair hair" in the chemotherapy forum for lots of tips on how to deal with this.

Can't answer all your questions...but I started Chemo in March only I'm on ACx4 and Taxoterex4.
I did lose my hair about the third week...not sure with yours...hopefully someone else that comes along will help with that.
Up in the right hand corner of the page is a prompt in blue that states "Add to my Favorites". If you find topics you like you can place them in your "favorites" and not have to go through all the postings. When you post on a thread you do have to go back and check for replies. To "PM" someone individually you click on their pic and it takes you to their profile and if you look on the upper right hand side of page you can send them a private message.
Hope this helps, lp.

Hello lpeters.
You can find huge information and comfort in this forum. I am on 5th round of chemo with Taxotere, Gemzar and Herceptin and started losing my hair about the 13 or 15 day. When I asked other women in chemo's room most of them replied that they experienced the same. I haven't saved my hair, didn't lose eyebrows and little hairgrow started on about the 8th week of chemo.
Wish you the best!
