Wigs.......synthetic or real hair????    When to go for a fitting?  How much?  Are they uncomfortable?  What about during summer months.  Any leads to info on which ones would be soooo helpful.    Please tell me your experiences with wigs.  I still have hair, but I cut it short to prepare, I still don't have a chemo date but it should be within a month.  I'm stressing over this hair business.

Your Onc should give you a script for the wig if your insurance will cover it. If not check into American Cancer Society "look Good feel Better" They have wigs for free and lots of good advice you can go to their site and look for information on the program. My only advice about wigs is do research a head of time so you know what you are paying for. The other question is will you actually wear the wig. I am still working having the wig on works better for me. but I only have it on at work.
