LIFE'S A BEACH!

The knee is slow going, Sahalie. I really thought my rehab would be easier than this.
Sharon, you would not believe what my toenails do. They curve around and dig into my toes. It's hard to describe, but really wacky looking. I really should get my butt to a Podiatrist! They were not like this before chemo.
-
Hey Beachies!!! I can now officially have my pedicure!!! Doc said I'm fine and dandy for another 3 months!!!!!!!!!! Whew........I'm breathing now. Thank you all for the prayers, support, hugs and good vibes!!!! It means the world!!! OH....Sahalie.....I'm central time:) My appt wasn't until 3:30 pm and it sure made for an awfully looooooong day!!!! I'm making my next appt for early morning.
Hope you gals have a great evening!!!!!!!!!!
((((((((((big hugs to EVERYBODY)))))))))))
We can let the squirrels out now

Julz-----I tried to get the "Mississippi Squirrel Revival" by Ray Stevens to copy over here, but I couldn't do it
Can you help? That's the first thing I thought about when you mentioned squirrel:)Edit!!!!!! Top of the page!!! PICTURE!!

-
COONIE * WONDERFUL NEWS. I heard your sigh of relief all the way over here in CA.
And what a pretty picture with flowers and petals to sink our toes into to celebrate!
Everyone's welcome for sea food buffet. My hut. Door's open.

-
Janny. Get to the podiatrist like yesterday. Pronto!
Sorry about the slow healing of your knee. We could do a dance around you on the beach with torch lights and sparklers and chant "Be Well Knee" Time? Place? Say the word.
Now fix those toes. Your flip flops are new and shiny and waiting for you.
-

Wheeeeeeioioioieeeeeeeeeeeeeioioioiooooooooooooooooo!!
Coonie. Big party, indeed!! Peachie, peachie, peachie!! It was hard to stay quiet, but I did my best to stay under the radar in that big bag of yours. So glad for your good news.
I'm havin' my own internal party today. Today was my last 'regular school visit' of this school year. I still have lots of visits to make to conclude the month -- but these buildings are the ones that I go to every month.
Anywho. This concludes one phase of school year #13 of traveling music woman. Who'd a thunk it?
So I celebrated by going for some retail therapy and bought TWO new dresses. Actual big girl dresses and not wack-doodle-kids-entertainment-nonsense (which I also adore. LOL.)
Can't even remember the last time I got an adult dress?? The one is for DD2's graduation next week/WashDC/master's program..... the other will be perfect for our ballroom dance club tomorrow night.... not too dressie, just dressie enough.
So I'm off to work on cross-referencing my blog. Sure wish I knew about that in the beginning, but I'm about half way thru that project.
Julz. I'm glad for the update & news. Weird about the hospital letter. Was there a gift card for the gift shop -- so he won't sue them?
I've so glad to see EVERYone posting lately!! Brings me such happiness.
((((((((((((((((((((Footie)))))))))))))))))))))))
**oh the whole reason I found the dresses, was because I went to the department store to get myself registered for our Komen walk this weekend. There was a MOB scene -- they'd run completely out of t-shirts..... I knew the gal in charge & she said that she'd never seen anything like it in her 8 years at the helm. So I have a child-size "S" for DH to wear hehehehehe. They did have survivor shirts, which have a new design this year!! Whooohooo. (He can always wear a shirt from a previous trek.)

BEACH SQUIRREL:

-
Hey Beachies, can I join you at the cabana? I am landlocked in Idaho, but just KNOW that I SHOULD have been born and raised in Tahiti! I love seafood, I love the ocean, I love that sand, I love sea creatures, I love everything about being warm and toasty! I am so tired of being cold, I think it would take me about 6 months on a HOT rock to thaw out. (I haven't started tamoxifen yet though!). My good thought for the day: The little yellow finches have returned for the summer, they are so cheerful! Tami
-
WELCOME TAMI Come on in and join us. I've found you a package deal with flip flops, bag, etc.
ENJOY!!!

-
Faith.....OHHH Shopping....I Love retail therapy! No to the gift card....he got a small one before he left the hospital.....& free parking passes?!!!! I suspect they know he has a case in court against them.....Big Hassles with all that....I will leave that up to him. I just want answers to his ?'s.....stop fighting with him & get to the bottom of this. He really is feeling some better. Has to eat a whole new way now....Many changes.
-
TAMI!! Welcome to you. So glad that Coonie's got the welcome wagon organized for your arrival.
I'm land-locked in rain soaked Ohio, so I know how ya feel.
You'll find this is a place of support and friendship, arts of all sorts: words, images, music, photography, poetry and a good does of prayers-as-needed. Oh and there's complete nonsense and plenty to eat and drink. We celebrate hump days, page numbers, posts numbers, birthdays, clean mamos, onc visits, and EVERY trip anyone takes to somewhere with water!!
The gal who thought of this great diversion was a genuine-Angel-in-real-life and she still reads along periodically, watching over us still.
Pull up a chair and tell us more about yourself.
-
Here's a chair Tami.....make yourself at home

Hey...if ya'll haven't watched the post that Jewel did about the squirrel in the church.......YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!!! It's hilarious and if you need a good laugh this evening, I think you will get what you're looking for

-
Tami, here's a beach towel for your jaunts here, along the shore. -
Tami....I found a Chair for you to enjoy the sunset....Welcome aboard!

-
Went on a little garden tour today...

-
Welcome Tami!
Sahalie, if I thought a dance would help, I'd be dancin' on the ceiling! LOL One of these days I'll be dancing again!
-
Dear Beach lovers, I sending you alot of hugs, Julz I have been praying for you.
Tami, Welcome there is alot of love at this beach. Faith thanks for the support,
you are so kind to everyone. Sharon and Coonie Hugs and Thankyou, Its been a long
week, but with this family its alot easier. Coonie, I am having hot flashes, any lemonade?
-
Morning beachie bunnies. Need some of our virtual sunshine here, as the real world outside my windows is pouring rain, AGAIN! The yards can't get much more green -- unless they declare us as a rainforest. LOL.
Prayers to all our buddies in need.
Hugs to each and all.
Lemonade for footie.
Let's start the day with good fruit:

-
I got up earlier than usual this morning so while having my coffee I decided to branch out and take a look at some threads I'd never seen. These pics are so beautiful and I do love the beach. I looked at another thread that also had gorgeous pictures and they are just wonderful. What beautiful scenery. I haven't done any reading yet because I didn't have that much extra time but loved looking through and seeing the lovely pics. What a nice way to take a persons mind off bc. I'm glad I stopped by.
-
Here's a fruit parade of beachie kids:

-
Welcome Annie!!
This is a delightful diversion from all things BC.
The views are amazing and the commraderie here is memorable.
Here are your welcome flip flops to remind you to bookmark this thread & get to know us:

(I'm a polka-dot affecianado, but not very adept at spelling. LOL)
-
WELCOME ANNIE!!! Hope you enjoy it here!!
This is the "lighter" side of BC...........we come here to "forget" the nightmares, etc.

-
Good morning Arnie.........hehe....I did snooze pretty good last night! It felt good too!! Hope you're doing better this morning. The port is ready for delivery....just tell me when you want it shipped.
This is it....you could try it on for size..........

-

I'm still longing for some blue sky:

-
