Apple I would love to be brave enough to put it in bling- bling but I figured I would offend too many.  So I must go a little milder than that...lol.....

So is anyone finishing their treatment this week ???

Sorry I've been gone so long, ya'll. Rest assured, it's just real life. I'm trying to dust it off from all the neglect of the last several months.

Happy Birthday Apple wish you MANY, MANY more :)

We deserve a Lifetime, it is :)  Thank you I promise picture will follow from this.  I got my pink pants ready, pink shoes, BC socks, pink shirt (now I need the blings to come), pink hat not sure what else in pink I can add between now and then.  Not coloring my crazy Uncle Fester hair pink because my luck it would stay pink..loll...

If anyone gets the dreaded roids Tucks medicated pads work wonderful.  Now just to get rid of the mouth sores.  I have still been eating but it hurts like hell but I gotta gain some weight.

Happy Birthday Apple!  Today is my dad's birthday, too :)

Kristine and Jaimie:  wow, almost done, that's AWESOME!

Kerry:  that was a really interersting video, amazing how the body works.

Thanks again for the condolences for my BIL; it turns out he had a brain aneuryism.  *sigh*

    Hugs

gpcommom - sorry about your brother in law.  it's awful when a problem catches a family unawares.  your family is in my ever lengthening prayers.

KerryMac ~ Thanks so much for your encouraging post; it's helping me put things into perspective a bit better.  I'm glad your surgery went so well and that you recovered so quickly!  I don't know when mine is; I'm assuming that'll be decided (or at least discussed) on Monday.

sue50 ~ Congrats on finishing chemo!!  Thanks for the clip of "Pomp and Circumstance"; it's giving me a big ol' smile.
    :-)

Jaimieh ~ I think someone already mentioned it, but I want to say, too, that half Maalox and half liquid Benadryl really helped with my mouth sores.  Just mix it up, swish it in your mouth and spit it out.

    Happy Birthday, Apple!!

Oh, I haven't told you guys about the shirt my son gave me. If you're familiar with the old Nintendo game "Super Mario Brothers", you'll know about the green "One Up" mushroom that gives you an extra life when you capture it.  Well, Son gave me a t-shirt that has a picture of the mushroom on it.  He says that's insurance that I'll survive this BC since I now have an extra life, LOL!
    Tongue out

    Hugs to all,
    Artemis

Happy Mothers Day to you all, too!

Kerry, that's awesome...no breakfast in bed for me!!!  But I did go to McDonalds to get breakfast for my son, so at least I didn't have to cook anything!  It's just me, him and his sister today, as DH is out of town.

I'm really missing my mom today Cry, and am not really into the whole mothers day thing this year, so I'm glad we're not making a big deal out of it.  My MIL is taking me to dinner tonight, but I am doing that for her, since she just lost her son and shouldn't be alone on mothers day.

    Hugs

Hey Furies!!!  I'm alive and well here!!  Happy Mother's Day to all !!

Judy-- so sorry for your loss!! My prayers are with you!

Kerry, I know how you feel about rads being put out a week.  I was put out for a week just trying to get the ball rolling on chemo, then had port problems!!  Now, in 2 weeks THE LAST CHEMO.!!!!

What should I look for as far as symptoms when gettings rads?

Mother's Day always reminds me that my son and my husband decided to surprise  with breakfast in bed - a waffle already cooking in a waffle iron, plugged into the bedroom wall, to gently wake me with the warm waffle aroma wafting.

the phone rang, they needed me to play at a different church in 20 minutes... i left, son and dad went to a different church and we all arrived back home 90 or so minutes later to the most godawful smelling smoke.

no fire, but my bedroom smelled awful for almost two weeks.

Whooo for fuzzy Kerry :)  Was you hair dark before ??

My mouth seems to have finally turned the corner and seems to be healing.  Does anyone else run a low grade fever frequently after treatment ??  I have been running a fever of like 99. almost everyday since my last treatment which is a pain in the butt just because with even a low grade I have the hot and then cold flashes.

6 days until dreadadron and I am looking forward to it :)  How often do you hear that from me ??  I am ready for #6 wish I could go tomorrow so I can start to heal.  Does anyone know about how long it takes for your immune system to get back to a normal range ??  I am tired of being on hybernation but every time that I go out I come home with some kind of virus.

So what did everyone do for Mother's Day ??  We went to a local park that my DH has never been to and had a blast.  I just pretty much sat in a chair and watched the kids but I did take some pictures which I had a blast doing.  I have to build my arms up to hold my camera but I knew that already :)  Hope everyone's Monday is off to a great start.

Where is everyone....hope everyone is feeling ok :)

Jaimie:  Yea to mouth sores healing!!!  Mine is feeling better too, almost gone.  I have chemo tomorrow, so hopefully it doesn't come right back!  I totally understand just wanting to get your last tx done and over with!   6 days will fly by, and then you'll be done!

Kerry:  yea to fuzzy heads!!!  I'm right there with ya!  Although if you watch your head every day, like I do, it is kind of like watching a pot of water come to a boil...it takes forever!!!

Bethie:  thank you, we're doing ok

Well, tx # 6 tomorrow, they couldn't get me in until 5pm, so it's a late one for me.  I really didn't like missing a tx last week, and am actually eager to get my tx tomorrow, how weird is that?

    Hugs

Guilt free pie Apple.  :)  Add me to the list of never having had rhubarb.

Judy I hope you don't get delayed any more.  It's not weird about looking forward to treatment it means one more closer :)  I will examine my hair everyday hoping that I will have some huge growth of hair overnight.  I know it's silly but I can't help it.   After today I am really eager for hair I am tired of being cold....brrrr.......

rhubarb is very midwestern/farmy.. old fashioned.  it's a perrenial and comes up every year.  A couple good plants will yeild 4 to 12 pies a year.. it's very sour, made with lots of sugar.. unbelievably yummy.
