LOSING EYELASHES LONG AFTER CHEMO

Wondering if anyone else has had eyelashes fall out AGAIN several months after chemo.  I lost all my eyelashes/brows completely about two weeks after I finished chemo the end of August.  Since then, the lashes have gone through two additional cycles of falling out (not all at once so I have a few spindly long lashes in the middle of a row of short lashes).  I'm going to start Latisse, but question whether to expect another cycle of this.  (My doc says this is the first time she's heard of this, but it's possible that other patients just haven't told her.)

    yes, its common.  Eyelashes (because they only grow so long) have a short growth cycle and when they all come in at once - many fall out at once.  It takes time for them to get out of this cycle

    Yep, mine fall out every 3 months. I finished chemo one year ago! I heard it does take time for the eyelashes to get into their "normal" cycle again. Fortunately, they grow back quickly!

    yes, very common. i was shocked when my eyelashes fell out because i was growing my hair back.  lol. eventually, they will get stable.  my eyebrows are much less dense too. but, easier to pluck. lol

    Thanks everyone!  It made sense to me that it was happening, BUT I got concerned when my onco said she'd never heard of it....

    Yes!     I finished my chemo about a year ago and suffered substantial but not complete eyelash and brow loss.   After a few months they returned to as good as ever!    Within the last 3 weeks have lost all the long lashes totally top and bottom and now missing a lot of brow, only now infant teeny lashes starting regrowth hopefully.     Crazy.  No other explanation...:-(
