I started about a month ago with very painful breasts.  My breasts are enlarged and feel very full.  It reminds me of when my milk was coming in after the birth of each of my children.  My last being born over 4 years ago.  Yesterday a had a couple of drops of discharge from the right nipple.  I went in today for an ultrasound and my first every mammogram.  There were no masses or lumps found however, I was told that my milk ducts/glands were enlarged.  I already have an appointment with a breast surgeon/specialist.  I am scared and was wondering what other's symptoms dx are.  Thank you for any info.  I greatly appreciate it.

    Hi drawnik,

I am very sorry that you are having to got through this stressful waiting time, it is the worse!

So very glad that you have found this site as it is excellent for support. I am sure that plenty of woman will write in to you, sorry I don't have anything to say specific to your symptoms.

I would say though that it is great that you are getting investigated and will be seeing a breast specialist soon for further investigation.

The bottom line is that you want to be pro active and take care of yourself and get things checked out, so you are doing the right thing. Soon your wait will be over (although it is never soon enough when you are doing the waiting, that, I know about!).

What ever is going on, you will get to the bottom of it and take action to help yourself.

Well done for not ignoring your breast changes, hang in there.

Sending you lots of best wishes for good results.

    Take care, keep busy!

    take care of you,

eat ice cream, watch soaps, do your spring clean, anything to make the time go faster! Anything goes, and try to rest to when you can, just cause all the tests stress takes it out of you!

    nighty night

I should probably post that I am 37 years old.  Breast feed each of my children for a couple of week each (it was too painful for me).  used bc for about 3 years when i was much younger.  My mother has no history of bc or breast problems.  However, she was adopted and I have no family history on my fathers side either.
