who else started chemo in April '09?
I saw a reference in another thread that there are threads each month for people who started chemo that month, so that they can share experiences as it goes along... not that the support from everyone isn't wonderful, it is! But I thought it sounded like a good idea to "meet" others who started at about the same time.
So, anyone here start in April? I couldn't find the thread but maybe I didn't look in the right places... if there is one, please direct me. If there isn't, we can start one now!
I got the results of my biopsy April 13; I started chemo April 22, cytoxin/adriamycin, will have 4 treatments 3 weeks apart, followed by 12 weekly treatments of taxol, then surgery, then possibly hormone therapy treatment.
It's all happened crazy-fast and I'm just getting my feet back under me. I've posted more than once about some of the things I'm going through so I won't repeat all that here. Just thought I'd see if there was an interest in this...
Anyone else?...

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here, only posted once in the other April Chemo thread. I started Chemo on April 9, 09. ACx4 and TX4 DD. I was diagnosed in late Jan. and had Bilatat. on March 6, 09. Chemo has been a little bumpy but I'm making it. Just keeping my eye on the end and hoping that I stay on schedule to finish the middle of July. Hope everyone else is hanging in there and coping OK. This might be the most helpful place I've found in terms of support.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to give their input and helpful hints.

Hi - I had my first chemo April 24 (FEC). I felt fine the first 2 days, then very queasy the 3rd day, and since then it's like a truck hit me; very dizzy and unsteady. I went to the hospital when I realized I was too shaky to drive; had a ton of tests and everything is OK, so i guess it's just all the poisonous drugs. But if it makes me better, I can handle it (I hope!) I've been told to expect that I'll feel progressively better up to my next chemo on May 14; then it's back down that slope all over again. I hope you ladies are hanging in and I'm glad to find this thread. I keep telling myself that it's time-limited and that this time next year it will all seem like a bad dream. Very best wishes to everyone and lots of cyberhugs.

I've had some bad days since my first treatment on Tuesday. Tonight, all SE's are gone. I am learning to take one day at a time

Come join the April ladies--you'll find us under "chemo, before, during, after" then look for April 2009

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the April thread -- and thank you, everyone, for sharing. It really helps to hear from others in the same stages of the journey, even if all the journies are a little different!
Hugs to everyone!
