Good morning sister crafters. Just popping in to say 'hi'. I'm off to do some more errands. It seems the more I do, the more there is to do.
I love all these crafts and wonderful ideas. -
got a couple of more necklaces, been on a roll again late at night.

-
Wow, that green/yellow one is very striking. You have a knack for color. If I could get you into quilting, you would be making some awesome show quality quilts!
-
I do want to learn to quilt. Am glad to see you here my friend, have been missing you. Have you been studying or just having some fun. Thanks about the necklace. Hope all is well with you and all your family. I didn't work 5 to 7 last night but the lady that did came to life group after and said in the storm and pouring rain they fed 144 people. I was so surprised, I though the weather would keep some in but I guess if you are hungry you will come out in any weather to get food. I think today am going to try to finish a chemo hat I am making for a friend. sending you big fat cyber hugs.
-
wanted to post my hen and chicks, after all planting and flowers is a craft also.

-
spar, i especially love the last necklace with the blue striped beads. Wow, you are doing great stuff. Love the elephant planter too.
-
Spar...love the striped beads also, you're on a roll!
-

-

-
We have those plants here too...Only I always thought there were weeds..omg..lol.
See I learned something new today.
I had the stitches out.Dr Says I can'tlift anything with that hand/arm for 4 weeks!! He thinks this is a dise effect of the arimidex??? He is gonna do research and let me know for sure when I see hime in 3 weeks..interesting,huh!
-
glad you got the stitches out but gosh an effect of arimidex, what all does that drug do? I guess I lucked out just having a dry bleeding vagina and muscle and joint pain. Be very careful and mind your dr. so you will get back to normal soon. Did he say it was ok to type?
Did I understand you right you thought hen and chicks were weeds? Hey you can send me your weeds anytime. LOL
Have a good evening crafters.
-
Awwww JO will miss your pictures. pop in and say hi when you get a chance. Candie hoping your ok and getting better everyday.
-
I found a picture of a jeweled spiderweb to hang on the porch that I think I will try to make it was in family fun magazine.
JO you started redecorating - well, just because. LOL
Goodmorning all crafter, have a great day.
-
That sounds beautiful. I would like to see it when you make it.
-
Ok, I have this habit of posting things I make just cause it is so much fun.
Sahalie, there is a pier 1 import a few towns away but have not heard of the other store. is it a nationwide store? Hope your having a good monday.
I have another elephant I need to find a good plant for, something really tough. I wonder is mother-in-laws tongue would get too big for the elephant pot?
Jazzygirl, thinking of you today and hoping you are having a great day.
JO or anyone any suggestions on what to do with a huge amount of old buttons my mother has. I wonder is you could sting buttons and make a chime out of buttons. LOL
I wish they were really pretty ones but they are just all kinds of buttons.
-
Hi Spar,
Saw a wall hanging once where she had taken all different kinds of buttons and sewed them in heart shapes of different sizes. Some were just ordinary buttons but they had been her grandmothers and therefore special. If you drew the hearts in all different sizes first on some sort of neutral tone-on-tone fabric, layered it like a quilt, sewed the buttons thru all three pieces of fabric then quilted around the hearts with a running stitch, it would have enough body to hold up without sagging from the weight of the buttons. I'm not sure that's how this lady whose sample I saw did it but it is the way I had planned to use my grandma's buttons. Just a thought to get them out of the box they may be in.
I have all sorts of ideas about crafts, I lag in the area of execution. Bad me.
Blessings,
Wendy

A nice idea sunkistmi.
Spar, yes it is ok to type, just no lifting. What is mother-in-law tongues???
Jo, my Dr says the tendon problem ( not carpal tunnel) can be from the arimidex. But are you saying carpul tunnel IS a SE of arimidex?
Havent done any crafts...but love to see what u girls are up to.
Hugs and prayers
-
I sure thought I posted a mother in laws tongue yesterday. I wonder if I put it on the wrong thread. That is weird.
-
-

This is a mother in laws tongue, the leaves go up to a point and are sharp
-
I was wondering that too. Everyone have a good crafting day. I will be knitting in the car ride. Got to go to the city.
-
Jeeps, I thought you were making a comment about your mother-in-law's actual tongue!
Another way to stabilize the hearts (for the button project) would be to use Pattern-ease (buy it at fabric shops) or interfacing, or something like that. The advantage of Pattern-ease, as opposed to interfacing, is that you can quilt through it without damaging your fingers too much.
-
Speaking of Buttons, I made a 3-D quilted door hanging of a home-spun Santa (pre-printed) that I left the edges rough (cut with pinking shears to finish the edges) and I glued many white/ivory buttons on his beard to imatate the curls of the beard, black buttons on the eyes, rosy buttons for his cheeks, a large brass jingle bell on his hat and brass buttons on his boots. I don't remember the designer but it has a country feel (santa in a red plaid shirt, patches on his pants and hunting boots) I hang it on my front door every Christmas.
-
thank you JO and lvtwoqlt, what some wonderful ideas. You guys gave my brain a push start. Now I can tell Mom, sure I want all those buttons, got some wonderful things to do with them, maybe even make something for her. Wonderful ideas from you too Wendy.
love that saying, she never lost her buttons.
-
wow, I have that plant in my living room...never knew what it was called...boy, I sure do learn alot on here. Spar, I have seen picture frames with buttons glued all over..looks cool.
