LOL faith, I take notes...LMBO

Those notes will be helpful when you write your book.
From the best-seller I anticipate that you'll need to work out the movie rights.
Everyone loves a mystery thriller that unfolds into a great, big happy ending.
Ever onward mommy.
Take good care of yourself!

Hi Karen - Just wanted to pop in and tell you I met our lovely Linda54 today at the Mall of GA! Isn't she wonderful! We had a great visit. Hope we can met sometime, but I know you have your hands full for now. Continued prayers for Olivia. - Gretchen
-
Gretchen - It is so cool that you met Linda!!!
Karen - Sounds like progress is being made on all fronts. Hugs!!!
-
Moody, still thinking and praying for Olivia and you everyday. Will be so glad when she has some relief and can get back to being a kid again. hugs to both of you.
-
I hope Olivia is feeling better, we are still praying for you both. I am so very proud of you for standing up for what you believe in and taking the extra steps to see that this puppy mill situation is taken care of. A lesser person would just leave it alone and not worry about it. I agree with you, sometimes God puts us in situations to try to make something better. I hope there's nothing shady with the breeders, but sounds like someone didn't get their story straight. How anyone could mistreat a helpless animal is beyond me. May the sinners repent, and may Glory be given to God! Hallelujah! Amen!
The pics are just too cute!!
Hugs to you both!
-
I think this happened to you for a reason too and as usual you have taken 'the bull by the horns" and run with it. Puppy mills are horrible, disgusting places. I hope that little Camille's parents are also healthy and living in a good situation.
Camille is too gorgeous for words! I can see why people carry dogs around - they are just too darn cute.
-
Thanks ladies. This is sorta fitting into our dog conversation. It was so funny, I just HAD to post it here!

-
Karen, I can't believe what all I have just read!!!
You and Olivia are in my prayers for you to retain your sanity and for God to give these doctors the wisdom they need to treat dear Olivia....
It was great to see you again but sad we could not spend a little more time together.....
Loved those kisses from Camille!!!!
Keep us updated....(((((((hugs))))))
PS loved the church signs LOL thanks for sharing
-
I am cracking up at the church signs, am going to have to copy and forward them.
Still praying, want a healing for Olivia and peace for you. hugs and love being sent your way.

Well, we went back to cardiologist today. She said she "never got in touch with Dr. Fortunado"......which must mean she never even tried, because he would have talked with her. I hate when people lie to me..
All she had to say was "I didn't try to call him".Anyway, she has upped Olivia's meds, then told us we didn't need to come back to her anymore. She said we can just stay with Dr. Fortunado.........
I guess she didn't like the part about him confering with the docs at John Hopkins and Mayo and they were all in agreement.
So, after we see him again on the 11th, I guess we will be looking for a new cardiologist.
Good news is Olivia is up to 82 lbs now!
-
great news that Olivia is gaining weight, too bad about the doctor not telling you the truth then dropping Olivia as a patient. To me when a doctor looks to peers for a diagnosis, they are wanting to get to the root of the problem and open to others suggestions.
-
Karen - you will be better off with a new cardiologist - I despise doctors that have such an ego that they will not accept seeking second opinions and doctors conferring on a problemactic or difficult situation. I know it's frustrating - but honestly - best you've found out now ... wonder why she even bothered to up Olivia's meds since she won't be following through on any of it.
I'm so happy to see that Olivia is gaining weight!
Hugs for you and for Olivia - please give her a hug from me!
Doreen
-
Moody, what a lot on your plate. You need a team of dr's that care for a cure and work together to achieve it so praying for you to find a very caring cariologist. Please give Olivia a hug for me and I do call the prayer line. My heart just goes out to Olivia, there are just no words for what she is going through. sending love and hugs. Sherry
-
Yeah Olivia!!!!!!!!!!!!!
joy in your weight gain!!
-
What a genuine frustration, but others have already expressed the truth -- best to find a doctor who sees the community pool of knowledge as a benefit.
So sorry for that extra step in the process, Karen.
Thrillllllllllllling to hear that the weight is creeping back -- that would seem to be such an ENORMOUS step in the right direction.

So happy for you and Olivia for her weight gain.
I think that cardiologist did you a favor because if she wasn't willing to be a part of the team finding a solution, then best she not be a part at all. Find a doctor willing to do what is best for Olivia.
Can Dr Fortunado recommend some you can call. My experience is that if one doctor recommends another they usually already have had common dealings or at least know each other. This happened with my BS and med onc. I wanted a med onc closer to home and even though the med onc she recommended never worked on a case with her because they work out of different cancer centers, they knew and respected one another.
Big HI to Olivia.

-
good information patoo, so true. hopeing and praying Olivia is doing better today. hugs. sherry
-
I think having the Dr. Fortunato recommend a cardiologist is a good idea. They will know each other and work together. Some doctors are just like that. Evidently this current cardio disagreed with the diagnosis and treatment plan so I think it was good for her to step out rather than continue to cause conflict.
-
Hope you're having a great weekend together & that the medicine is working it's wonders.

Happy Monday.
Sending continuous prayers.

Howdy everyone. I don't have anything new to report and I say "no news is good news".
Olivia had a pretty good weekend. She said Saturday that she was not going to do a whole lot of playing so that she would feel better on Sunday. She had also noticed that if she was too active on Saturdays that her Sundays were always worse. It worked, she had a decent day yesterday and even walked down to a friends house to play.
I have already been getting recommendations from friends here about other cardiologists, but the problem seems to be that all the pediatric cards in NE Ga are all in the same group, and this group consists of about 3 docs.
I know that I gave the impression that the cardio doc was being a snot, but she was really very sweet and did ask that Olivia's pediatrician keep her updated on Olivia. I sorta left that part out. And honestly she was very kind and had no "sarcastic" undertones to her voice. I think that she probably thinks that I will call Dr. Fortunado every time I see her to see if he agrees and I am sure she has no desire to have me do that as it would seem like I am questioning her every move. I wouldnt ever do that, but because I had talked with him after our last appt, she probably figures I would do that every time. It is too bad that she didnt take the time to get to know me first to see that I have no desire to run everything past him that she says.
And had she called him like she said she would, non of this would have happened as I would have been confident that they were all on the same page. I dont think she liked hearing that the "big dogs" were in agreement, and that agreement was a disagreement with her.
But in the scheme of things, she really spent alot of time with Olivia and I do beleive she wanted her case. I just think she felt like "the big dogs" would be looking over her shoulder "through" me (boy, I could only WISH I had that much influence!)
On a happy note, yesterday was my birthday - my thirteenth year of being 30 - and my hubby surprised me with a birthday cake! I have been with this man for 24 years and he has NEVER gotten me a b-day cake! AND to top it all off, it was a very THOUGHTFUL cake! Check this out:

Now THAT was sooooo sweet!
Here is a pic he took yesterday of us together (no laughing---I am not photogenic.....)

-
Karen, you are too modest! So glad to hear that things are stable, even getting back to everyday, run of the mill things! Good to hear that Olivia is seeing a pattern and is able to adjust for things she wants to do!
As always you all are in my prayers, Happy Birthday
Elaine
-
You really are too modest, you are beautiful, especially those big gorgous eyes. I like that 13th year of being 30. Sending prayers for Olivia and a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you.
-
Karen you sound like my grandmother b, she liked to celebrate the anniversary of her 29th birthday every year. She refused to acknowledge that she was over 29. My other grandmother however is proud that she will be 95 the 22nd of May.
Sheila
