This is where we go every Labor Day Weekend for our 4 day family reunion...Started with mom and dad...then 6 kids... and now there are 56 of us...including spouses, grandkids and great grand kids. Dad and Mom would've been proud to know we still enjoy what they started over 60 years ago...

-
Looks like Footie found herself a cabana boy for a morning picnic after all:

-
wowowowoser Arnie. how cool is that???
THAT'S REALLY a PICNIC!!!
-
mmmmmmmmmmmm...lol Yeah..it's a lot of fun... we have it catered so no cooking for us gals... Cabins are nice and we just get to catch up on the last year and enjoy each other...
-
When the children were babies, I didn't know words to any lullibys so I would sing "You are my sunshine" and "Silent Night". Can't hear either of them to this day without tears welling in my eyes. So sweet and gentle and beautiful is a sleepy baby (esp mine

EWB. Seeing you post, jogged my brain about next week.
I'm driving in on Wed. Will leave here/OH around 7:00 in the morning -- that's my plan & it says it's about a seven hour drive. With any luck I'll be into Bloomsburg around 2 or 3, depending on how many stops I make. LOL.
I'll PM you the name of the bed and breakfast. InnatTurkey something. Turkey Inn?
Julz & I were planning to meet there in the middle of the afternoon. Hoping that Julz can still make this adventure -- with as many real-life adventures as she's undergoing presently.
Bring your camera!!
-
Camera is packed! Really looking forward to seeing you. What did I miss with Julz? I hope nothing too serious!
-
Arnie, that's great that your family still does that! I'm sure you all have so much fun!!
-
Arnie. Are you willing to adopt some of us into the event??
Someone should write a magazine article on your story.
Edited cuz my fingers are sleeping. LOL.
-
Oh neat! Arnie's inviting us to her next reunion???!!! I need to pack my bags........hehe
Faithie and Elaine and Julz.......I wanna goooooo toooo!! That sounds like soooo much fun!!! You will have to take tons of pics and document everything you do so we'll be able to see it:)
(((((((((Julz)))))))) hope everything is ok:) Hugs and prayers for you and your family!
-
LOL... We've had visitors...neices and nephews friends...etc. Some of them still come back and spend a day with us at the beach... I know my son-in-law, after about his 3rd year there said to my sister at a campfire, "I know the secret to your family". She said, "Yeah what's that"...and he replied, "You love each other no matter what, and accept everyone for who they are". Sad to say, his family is not like that they spat and have periods where this one or that one is not talking to the other.
This is a pic of my son-in-law Steve, breaking the rules, lol, retrieving a ball for one of the kidlets...

-
Priceless.
-
Following in this new-profound, do it ahead of time spirit I'm experiencing.....
I just that I'd announce to the world that I have just completed my 3 different powerpoint presentations for next week's event in Bloomsburg.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaa!!
I want to have the maximum number of minutes available for visiting.
I'm gonna go sign a box of books & then I'll really have the jump on.
You guys inspire me, just thought that I should say thanks!

Hey ladies...hope everyone has a great weekend...
-
Ditto from here too.

-
Thanks Faith, I really needed that. God bless you all and have a wonderful
time. I know it will be good for all of you, Julz my prayers are with you.
-
Good morning Beachettes! I hope all have time to play on the beach today or just to sit and watch the waves.
-
Hey Beachie bunnies.
L-O-N-G story short...... DH has taken it into his head to re-organize/spring clean/declutter our humble little abode.
It's all my fault as I have let the 'lava flow' (his endearing term for my nonsense that's creeped into our living space, from my studio area.)
I'd really rather be sitting in a cabanna and sipping an umbrella drink, but the day has arrived for reckoning.
Everyone else splash happily.
-
-
Your rather sit in a banana Faith? ROTFLMAO.
Lookout, they're hanging from the ceiling now.
-
We just got back from date-night at the movies. We finally got to see "The Soloist" with Jamie Lee Fox. It was sooooooooooo well done. So well acted. Not exactly a walk in the park, but uplifting none-the-less. Very real. We both really liked it. Wish it would win lots of awards -- it's so deserving.
Can't get Photobucket to cooperate.
So picture an evening campfire on the shore's edge...... an old quilt thrown down on the sand...... and plenty to eat and drink. grab a sweatshirt, it could get cool this evening.
Will embellish:

-
Hey Beachies.......I've missed you all bunches! Gotta get caught up on everything. I feel like I could use a nice relaxing quiet time at the beach. Maybe a little Hawaiian music playing in the background......
