Hi Girls.  Just popping in. I am in the Hosp. I was admitted Mond. morn.  W/fever diahrea chestpain..  They looked all week for my infection. My right breast was swollen red.  They were not paying attention to it.  Finally got my plastic surgeon on the phone  to tell him  what was going on   It was bad. The infection was spreading and thick and cloudy. He took it out last night.   While here they found a cyst or mass on or around or near my ovaries,  They want it out , and hopefully its not cancer.  My chemo is being pushed back a week while I heal from the infection,They are trying to get the ovaries out during this time too.  As of right now surgery is wed. They will start it lapryscopy and send it to path.  If its positive they will open me up and take lymphnodes and appendix.  If negative, I will be home that night.

I am so far behind on posts.  I cant even try to catch up. I hope you are all well, and I hope I have not missed too much.  I think I get to go home tomorrow.  Depending on infection.. Hugs

Good afternoon Ladies.. from a hot sunny Miami......Missed the morning..... I'm afraid the chemo truck hit me early this time on the evening of Day three! So rest and fluids this morning. Tuesdays Tx went ok not quite as well as last time with the IV, took four goes this time, two different Nurses. Se's same as before so far...touch wood! Half way there!!

Wanted to post more but finding it hard to sit here for long, so I wish everyone a good weekend with minimum Se's.....and some sunshine!

Ricki13 My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Buddy1:  My thoughts are with you.  There is a reason for everything and maybe this infection was to put the spot light on your ovaries.  I'm praying everything goes well...keep us up to date!

Maidmarion:  Sorry to hear this time around was so rough.  I look at my TX's just like labor.  One more gets me closer to the end! Hang in there..

    Hugs to all...

Hello Everyone - Just getting back from Tx #3 and my SEs seem to be kicking in early, but there not so bad for now.  Going back a bit ... not only is ya'll acceptable, I do believe they have placed it in the dictionary ... sort of like EVOO, because it's used so much they made the decision to add it in future publishings.  We also 'make groceries' here instead of buying groceries and we carry pocketbooks, not purses (hee hee).  The 'fixin to' ended with my Grandmother (may she continue to rest in peace).  Emend - My favorite drug, the nausea has gone to the land of Far, Far Away (a Shrek reference) perhaps to that mean Prince CharmingLaughingSakura73 - I'm sending you a (((big hug)))!!!  Sunshine - Our temperatures are expected to hit the 80's up to the 90's this weekend and I'm so glad I took that wig off in time!  bwbly and others -  I agree, my heart goes out to her as it obvious she's got things going on that may require more help than she can receive via this forum.  I was always taught your actions speak louder than words. As a Christian, when I say I don't advertise, what I'm saying is "I let my works, conduct, behavior, morals, ethics and the way I treat and respond to others speak for me.  This is the biggest and best way to show not only am I a Christian, but what type of Christian.  I don't beat people over the head with it and once you have expressed your beliefs, if we don't agree then we agree to disagree, but we keep it moving.  I always share with people how I've come through various situations, but I don't saturate them unless I see they are eager for more.  I have friends and associates from all walks of life and I try to gain an understanding of each of their customs and beliefs.  I don't judge them if their beliefs are not in line with mine and I don't condem them for their beliefs.  I said before and I'll say it again ... If you are strong in YOUR beliefs, no one or nothing will change what you believe. Which is why I don't mind engaging in CONVERSATIONS with people from different religions.  I find it very interesting and enlightening, but at no time do I say you are incorrect beliefs or try to push my beliefs on them.... it's FREEDOM OF CHOICE, FREEDOM OF RELIGION, FREE WILL and my favorite - JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED.  I had promised myself I wasn't going to waste any more of my energy on that discussion, but I too was bothered by her post and reported it, especially after she stated she was leaving forum.  So for her to continue monitoring the posts, just to continue to post what I consider inappropriate expressions, sent me to the next level.  I enjoy this forum and have found a lot of comfort, laughs and information while on this forum.  I stand strong in my faith and encourage others to do the same ... REGARDLESS of who your higher power may be.  Do not give in to the negativity and continue to keep her in your good thoughts and for those who pray, continue to keep her prayer.

For Everyone who's dealing with SEs, coupled with everyday stress, financial hardships, whatever your issue may be at this time, continue to be strong, be grateful, encourage others as that is where you will gain your strength and always remember there is someone much worse than you.

I have to go be 'force-fed' now (smile), if I'm able to I'll be back later tonite.

    Hugs & Kisses, Raymon

buddy1... I am soooo incredibly saddened to hear your news.  It makes me realize how lucky I've been with my own treatments.  Please update us when you can!

maidmarion... Hang in there!  Hoping your SEs will subside soon.

Francine... Thanks for the hunks.  Hunks are always welcomed and appreciated.  Unfortunately, with my age and the fact I have "boys", I now look at those guys and honestly realize they could be my sons.  Cry

Raymon... Seriously?  I have never heard of "making groceries".  But, I'm fixing to ask a friend if she's heard of it.  Thank you, also, for your well-thought out words.  They are indeed warranted in this particular situation.

    My dear princesses,

Thanyou all for your lovely wishes and kind words.  It really does help to know there are women all over the world supporting each other through what are difficult times for all of us.  We cope by using a lot of humour in my family.  We're all loud and politically incorrect and overly honest with each other but also fiercely united as a family.  Which is not to say I don't have the odd tanty/meltdown here and there....oh YEAH I do!

buddy1 - thinking of you here in Sydney Australia.  Hope all goes well this week and you get home sooner than expected!  Love that you can still find humour in your situation.

sakura73 - was thinking that between us, we might make one Aussie Rachael/Rachel with one good set of breasts!  We could go on tour with the Show!  My left is still rockin'.  Have you got a good right?  And can we please please see a photo of you with your barrister's wig?  Or is that some kind of offense to the Bar?

I was thinking about how different people react to being in this boat we're in together, and then got to thinking about how family and friends react.  Some good, some bad.  I've had some wonderful experiences with 'acquaintances' who've really stepped up since my diagnosis....keeping my spirits up in different ways.  On the other hand I have some 'close friends' I rarely hear from these days.  I'm not sure if they're waiting for me to call them?  Do they want me to reach out to them?  I'm not sure.   I know from my sister's experience that she has lost good friends over her journey.  Her 'best friend' at the time of her first diagnosis (15 years ago) went on vacaction soon after she was told, and never called my sister again.  Weird huh!

I'd be interested to hear what our princesses have experienced?

    R xo

buddy1... How are your children doing with you in the hospital and all?

Ricki13... Uh yeah!  I know exactly what you mean about the friends and acquaintances.  Some of what I considered my closest friends have barely been in contact since my dx.  I mean friends whom I stood by thru thick and thin.  And, like you said, people I considered more in the acquaintance category have been very faithful with cards, e-mails, calls, texts, etc.  I'm trying VERY HARD to not get my feelings hurt.  I've always felt that you get very few opportunities in life to truly make a difference... and I've tried to seize those opportunities myself.  All I can figure is that they don't know what to say?  They figure I'll bring THEM down with talk of cancer?  I dunno.... would love to hear others' take as well!

Hey everyone just checking in.  I had AC today - another substitution since taxotere an abraxane didn't like me.  I had Ememd in IV and an Emend pill for tomorrow and Sunday.  I am so glad I had read about it on here, as I had to coax the doc in to giving it to me.  I don't feel fantastic, more like the night after partying waaay too much, but it's managable.  My friend is bringing mashed potatoes and cola icee for dinner.

Buddy - I am sending you good wishes.  I know that it is so frustrating to be in hospital without a plan for completion.  It sounds like they will know something soon, then you can get back on track with a good idea of how to get you back on track and well again.

Sometimes I ask, isn't it just enough that I'm dealing with bc?  and surgery? and chemo?  REALLY, now i have THIS too?  (please everyone feel free to say that I'm not just bitchy but that you think that too!)  All I know is that we have be strong for each other and keep each other propped up because thankfully on any given day, at least some of us are "up" enough to remember that we're going for the finish line: a clean bill of health to last us a long healthy life.  Sending you strength and love.

Francine - thanks for the hottie.  Since MomOfBoys has a few days til her finish line, I think she should give me her hottie too...or at least lend him to me until her last tx day, and I will give him back!  Hey, maybe I'll have him drive me to Texas for the par-tee!!

Tracy...  Here's to hoping the Emend is the wonder drug JUST LIKE IT HAS BEEN for so many others.  That's great about your dinner... I mean how many times do we crave mashed potatoes and a cola icee?  When you come to visit me in Texas, we may put a little tequila in that icee!

datadrudge... Thanks for stopping by.  If my memory serves me, you are one of the ones that coaxed me into posting my mohawk pic!

Ricki & Mom of Boys - I feel the same way as you with the good friends, versus acquantances,  it definitely has been a surprise to me, how many acquantances have reached out when I was feeling the most emotional, especially during early diagnosis and ongoing and not much from others you expected would keep in contact.

Buddy - so sorry that you are going through more health issues, I am sending well wishes and positive thoughts and prayers.
