Hey ya'll.....I have a confession to make.....I'VE NEVER HEARD OF POPPYCOCK!!!
Edit: to add pic for suuuummmbuddy on this thread:) She likes a pic at the top of the page please:)
-
Just wanted to share too about this patient I saw today. She was diagnosed with lung cancer (both lungs) and its in 5 different places (kidneys, bone etc.) anyway the doctors told her she had 6 months to live. Then her husband added with a grin that was back in 1994 so here she was 15 yrs later and still kicking. Goes to show doctors don't know everything!
And by kicking I mean she looked good.
-
Pat. Those are some opinionated little guys you've got. You're gonna be like their own, private science fair project. Hope that you're up to their inquisitions.
Go ahead and tell us now where you've hidden the poppycock. Just in case one of us has to swing by and fetch it later. LOL.
-
Oh mom.....what a wonderful story!! Reminds me of Dodie Osteen:)
-
Connie- If I could remember where I hid it I would send it to you. It's heaven in a bag.
-
Great story, mom. Always good to hear that sort of report.
I'm guessing that you're in nursing?? In education 'home visits' are of a different sort. I'm still attempting to sort out who is who and what everyone 'do.' (I like rhymes, even when their nonsense.)
*********Oh, I just remembered what I forgot!!!!!
A therapist at school today had a special request & I said that I'd ask.
She works with a 16 year old girl going thru her second bout of cancer & the cutie is going thru chemo currerntly and losing her hair again. Long story short, she has prom approaching & needs some sort of head-wrap/scarf that will be festive/appropriate and match a very bright pink dress.
Does anyone have suggestions? Websites?? Thanks for your ideas.
-
hmmm....a bag of heaven. That sounds just PERFECT
Faithie....I replied on the beach too, but I used www.tlcdirect.org for ordering hats.
-
Gotta go. DH just walked in- guess I need to feed him. I enjoyed talking to ya"ll. Everybody have a good night.
-
I am back from outer space -not really. I actually went into the office Wednesday, today and again Friday - yuck I hate that it is an hour each way, but we have no supervisors there, so someone had to do it. The owner who is always there had to go to Indy her dad is at the end of his battle with Colon cancer, so sad, not only is she the owner she is a very close friend, the manager in charge of networking is having back surgery and another was emergency admitted into the hospital Tuesday for Cellulitis, which I though was mainly in your legs, well she has it in her head and neck, Very rare very serious, could cause meningits (sp) and death, she is so very very sick - I might ad she is a VERY close firend as well.
So I have pretty much done NO hosework all week. But I did stop and take bagels in each day (that counts ?????? cause I went around and personally served them to the staff)
Anyway Sharon I saw your post about floor cleaners , try Armstrong Floor Cleaner, I use it on all my tile & ceramic floors , love it, leaves a nice shine, smells great, never sticky, I get it at Wal*Mart a little goes a long way.
And you gals dealing with the "teenagers" GLAD IT'S NOT ME - I DID MY TIME - LOL
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
-

-

-
Coonie- I've never had Poppycock either!
No housework here today either. I spent the day with my mom, my sister and my friend. We had hamburgers and margaritas! And a lot of laughs! Beats housework any day.
-
TexasRose, Sounds like a pefect day. I'm glad you enjoyed it that way!
-
-
Choices. So many choices:
-
Faith, you are making me thirsty!!
-
Hey gals, mom2two just introduced me to this place on the forum, and you sound like a great and crazy group of people! My kind of ladies when I read about the Margaritas! So, let's get back to the housework! YUCK!!! Three boys for me and it never ever ends-especially the wash. Not this weekend though. It is supposed to be near 90 degrees here in New York, so the housework is going out the window. My birthday is also this coming Monday. So please all have a margarita on me!!! I can't wait until tomorrow. I am a fifth grade teacher whose kids are graduating soon in June, and they are so chatty since after Spring break. It hasn't helped that because of two surgeries (mastectomy and exchange), I haven't been with them all year and they have had a sub! So, maybe two margaritas for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Welcome aboard CarolMarie!! So glad you found us! We DO have a great time around here. It's not all housekeeping either:) And our mom2two keeps us in line:) Literally, writing lines and sharing and all that stuff.........hehe, but we love her lots!! So glad you're here. Make yourself at home.
-
I went back and made a bigger pitcher.
Carol -- start now & you can be to the bottom of the glass by your birthday!!
-
Margarita's on Monday for CarolMarie's birthday!! Welcome to our crazy group!!
3 boys - I bow to you. I have 2 that I can't handle!!
-
Oooohh another birthday! That means we ALL take the day off!!!
-
See a mom turns her back for just a few hours to go get something to eat and the margaritas are flying everywhere.
-
oohh nooo Mom....I promise I didn't take one single drink!!! Never tasted liquor of any kind. Diet Coke is my "strong" drink, so that's something I'm innocent of
whewwwww!! hehe
-
Awwww coonie you always were my reliable one......
-
do I get another trophy
-
-
Just think how much Margarita that trophy could hold.
(LOLOLOL)
-
Couldn't find a trophy but how about if you borrow this award from Angela
