Barbe- That was me. Hubby cut his thumb really bad last Sunday. He is doing a lot better. Went back to work yesterday. We took the bandages off last night to put new ones on. Neither of us really wanted to look at it, but it wasn't bad. They did an amazing job putting it all back together. It was really ugly when he did it with bone and tissue outside the skin. Ick! Thanks for asking about him!

2new1s- Your dad is in my prayers. I hope you get good results and you have your daddy around for a long, long time! I was very close to my dad also. He died in 1993 and not a day goes by still that I don't miss him.

My prayers for the surgery girls!

Deb- I hope you have a quick healing!

    Hi Makraz,mum,coonie,Barbe,Sharon,Faith and everyone.

Still can't string a sentence together. Worked hard all day on house chores and my appeal for my son's special educational needs, then made dinner, cleaned up and now...

It's 19:25 and am in bed. Just wooped! So no clever lines from me I am afraid. Bones and joints giving me jip and "flipping heck" I seem to always have a period these days! And to think the Oncs never thought they would come back after my "chemo meno"! hi ha..

2new1s, sounds like you are having a super tuff time. Hang in there, you are due some good stuff soon. Best wishes for your Dad and prayers too.

Barbe, I sure hope you are getting yourself your very own Onc, it seems so strange to me that you have not got one alocated to you.

I just got my date for my tatoos..the hospital explanatory  leaflet said that it can take "quite a long time to get a good colour match" so to be prepared for that. Well, since they are doing both boobs, I guess I just get to pick the shade of pink I fancy and off we go! My DD thinks it's great that I get to choose the colour, ahh.

My DH is off for the weekend and I have a cousin over from Canada on Saturday, so I best be impressive on the housework and cooking front tomorrow to get ready! Send me some super acheiving Mum vibes to keep me going please! xx

I know Faith asked about my son a while back and someone else asked about Crete, sorry I am behind, honestly, I can't keep my eyes open, I just have to re charge.

I am suchhh a lemon, honestly.

    love and huggs.

Hi all, had to make more home visits today. so am not getting much housework done. Did get to see some beautiful sights as some of the horses in the pastures along the route I had to take were out with their spring foals.  Would you believe I even saw a baby kangaroo. Had to do a double take at first and since it belonged to my patients neighbor I didn't get to find out how they came to own a kangaroo. You just never know what you will find when you do home care.

Dream and flash good seeing both of you on here. We do talk about housework sometimes but we also have fun just getting to know and keep up with each other. That counts as some work doesn't itSmile

((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) for those having surgeries today too!

Have to go pick up my dd from school and take the other one to the eye doctor for her contact follow up.

Hi ladies!!!!!  The best news ever.........they ran all of the preliminary testing on my dad and so far no reoccurring of cancer!  They let him go home on antibiotics and he will see his onc on Monday for the final results of everything.  They think it may have been just a cyst that popped (kind of like a pimple).  So I am sssssoooooooo very relieved as of now.  I will not be totally okay until after his appt on Monday.  So I want to thank you all for the added prayers sent our way, must have worked!

I totally agree with those of you who said how much more can I handle right?  Not sure if I even want to answer the phone when it rings!

My PT went good this morning.  Had to take DD (23 months) with to the appt.  Since we are in a private room & the door is closed, the PT said just to bring her in with me.  I kept her occupied in her stroller with little snacks.  She actually did so good that we scheduled my next  appt for during the day!

After we left PT, DD & I spent the rest of the day @ the mall.  I bought a new outfit for a concert DH & I are going to this Saturday night.  It was awfully disheartening to try on so many pretty tops that looked awful with my caved in chest & left foob filled to 600cc's.  I finally found a beautiful pastel top that has that flowey loose look to it.  The best part was that when I tried on a pair of jean capri pants - they were too big!  I went down a size!  I guess all of this stress had one advantage for me.  :)

Needless to say I did NO housework today.  DH told me this morning not to bother about having something prepared for dinner since we didn't know what the status would be w/ my Dad.  Since Dad is home now.  We are ordering pizza - one of my favorites.  Laughing  Enough rambling on for now.  All of you have a wonderful day/evening.  I am blessed to have all of you on this site!  Smile

OMG, where have I been all day?

Glad hubbies thumb is mending...........we do need our thumbs!!!

2new1s, I am SO glad about this news of your Dad.  Gosh, how you are managing it all amazes me!

Today was NOT a housework day.  Did too much yesterday and LE arm is telling me so.  Even thought I did the work in wraps.

Shiny, good to see you checking in.

Sheesh, I gotta start to make a list because I hate to leave people out but inevitably it happens.

So here's a martini for all not mentioned.

I'm healing okay, but terrified to wash my hair in the shower again! I think the combo of my arms moving and the water is what did it. I have the day off tomorrow so I can be skanky. I'll have to wash it by Saturday (1 week! never done that before...).

Hallelujah for the good-news-dad-story-unfolding. I agree. Exhale.

Shiny. So glad that you've had a great trip. I'm patient. Will wait till you have time to give us the back-story about your son.

I've completed day number 4 of the seven day tour!!! Whooohooooo. And I still kinda-sorta have my voice. Yes. This is OVER doing it, I realize...... but ya gotta make hay while the sun shines (my father, the farm-boy.)

Will pack tonight to leave for the three day road trip. Should be fun. Some old friends. Many new ones. Returning to a school I've visited in the past. Spoke to the delightful principal during my lunch moment today & she's excited. She hasn't even told her staff. She wanted to surprise them!!

Big hugs to all going into or coming out of surgery and active treatment sisters, too.

I need one gold star as I did a load of laundry before leaving for school this morning!! (Now someone come fold it and put it away, please..... I'll just be grabbing the clean undies and running out the door.)

Hmmm poppycock, one of my all time favorites! Just bought a bag this month when I did my shopping. First one in a couple of years, tho.

I decided I am taking care of me so I can get my tx on schedule Monday. I live by myself so if something is not dusted, or ... whatever ... I think I can understand it.

Saw the onc today for my blood draw. The doc came in to see me, saw the mrsa spot (on my belly, right under my foob - like a third foob trying to grow) and he immediately says "oh, you need to go to the hospital for iv antibiotics!" NO! I say! can't we do the pills again? This one is smaller than the last one (he didn't see the last one, was over-the-phone he gave me the script)  so he then listened to my chest (remember - head cold and hard coughing, pain in chest under foob for over a week now), saying something worried about shingles [???] End result, augmentin script (stronger antibiotic than last time) and cough med w/codiene. If it's not better by Monday (4th taxel tx), then I get to go to the surgeon to have it drained. When he examined it closer, he is confident with this decision as it has begun to drain already. Dayum. So tired of these infections . . .

Praying all are healing well from surgeries, lots of them this week,  2news, what you did today was more than what some of us do on days we do housework Wink u did good!

I can never remember what I read by the time I get to writing.

    Love you all

    Cheryl

Faith- I have twin grandsons. Aren't twins just fascinating to watch. I love the way they interact with each other. How they have their own language.  My are 9 now- and I feel they should still be little boys. I don't know where the years have gone.   When I told them I was having surgery,(I just skipped lightly over it) and told them to have their parents bring them to see me a few days after- One of them said :What if you're up there( and pointed up) Then the other one told me that surgery never works. Now everytime I see them they seem disappointed that I still have my hair.

I know they love me- at least I think so. LOL
