Housework support group!!???!!

Man!!!  Hats off to you ladies who actually DO housework.  I just scrubbed and mopped my kitchen floor and I'm exhausted!  Is the water supposed to be this colour when I'm done?

man you girls are busy today.  It is only 9am and I am 3 pages behind. And what I did to the sink is.....

My sink is kinda like this one but no attached to the wall properly so I just pulled it out a little to paint behind it.  Then I went to wash paint off my hands....and water all over the floor.  I broke the pipe under the sink.  So off to the hardware store today to buy new drain pipe.  Good thing DH is handy.

Hi gals!  I have missed quite a bit on here.  Coonie had sent me a PM to check on me!  How thoughtful. 

 I have been having some issues on an everyday basis with my 16 year old son.  He has a new "girlfriend" and let his grades drop, have sex with her and then cheat on her, also he took the wrong bus home from school to sneak to the girlfriend's house and got caught.  So getting a phone call from the local police was not fun!  Oh and the two girls that he's playing for fools found out about the cheating he was doing and they had a fight at school.  So I also then had the call from the dean's office.  All of this has been in the past week!  I ended up calling his dad last night & had him come over to sit with my current DH, DS, & myself.  We had a long talk to DS.  I am sure none of it will sink in.  At 16 who listens to parents?  Hopefully he will straighten up.  He only has four weeks of school left.  I am so done with worrying about hid grades.  He has never been a poor student.  As of now he has two "F"'s & two "D"'s!  I contacted all his teachers and they are going to try to get him back on track.

What these two girls are offering him must be magical - because he has basically forgot that anything else exists!

Did I also mention that both girls mom's have called me and of course blamed all of this on ME!!!!!!!!!!  So yeah, I have had quite a few interesting conversations with them.  When one of the mom's said to me that my son should have respect for her daughter, my response was "Maybe if she didn't come to my house dressed half-naked with see through white shorts on with her ass hanging out - he wouldn't be so tempted to take advantage of her!"  Her mom had no response for that one!

Anywhoo....that's my drama I have had to keep me pretty occupied.  Any advise from you gals?

LORI! YOU CANNOT MOVE A SINK AND EXPECT IT TO NOT BREAK. IT WOULD BE LIKE MOVING A TOILET OR A TUB! What were you thinking girlfriend? But, on the other hand, you shouldn't have been able to move the sink, so something must have been wrong underneath already. Did you happen to see any duct tape that DH was using and not telling you?

I still think it was his fault anyway, and you can tell him I said so! If he has a problem with what you've done, then he should have been the one painting!

2new1's - I feel for you.  My son will be 14 next month and I can see the writing on the wall.  I am so ready to go back to work but won't because now I really need to watch them. Maybe I'll get to go back when he goes to college. 

I hear you about the way that the girls dress.  I am appauled that parents let their kids out of the house dressed like they do.  I do have clothing battles with my son, but it's not because they are too revealing, it's because they are all black. Occassionally he comes down from getting ready to school with his jeans and a button down top on.  I never tell him that he finally looks good because he would change immediately!

At the beginning of my sons 6th grade year (he is now in 8th), I came in to do a science lesson with his class.  The girl sitting in front of him had the lowest cut jean shorts on with a thong hanging out the back.  This is inthe 6th grade!  I hate it now when I have to go to the middle school and see what they are wearing.  Boys always get blamed for these things, and I know that sometimes they should.  I think it's about time that we have the girls be accountable for their actions! 

Good luck with your son.  I wish I new what to tell you to do.  I will learn from you!

BTW - I went to catholic schools and wore a uniform for 12 years.  There's something to be said for that!  (The uniforms, not the catholic schools).

Coonie - I love it.  Why only let them choose one!!  They can have both of mine!

Oh, I'm sure that happens!  My point is, where did they get the provocative clothing in the first place.  OMG I AM MY MOTHER!!!

Ok.....one more. I hope you all know I'm kidding. I LOVE kids!!!

We were all kids once too.  I told you I had to wear a uniform, a skirt.  Once my mom dropped me off at school, I would roll the top of my skirt to make it shorter.  I thought I was so cool.  The funny thing about it when I look back is that I went to an all girls school!
