Anyone have pain
Just wondering if anyone had pain in the breast as your first sign that something was not right. As I felt pain and could not tell if there was a lump I went to my gynecologist who found a lump. Diagnostic mammogram showed nothing but something small was found and biopsied on ultrasound. Came back positive and am waiting for MRI tomorrow and surgery 1 week from Wednesday. I am just wondering if anyone found their b/c this way and/or b/c was found that did not show up on mammogram and how they turned out. I am hoping because my breasts are so dense and the entire mammogram looked white to me that the lump is so small and just did not show through the white areas on mammogram from dense breasts. I am soooo freaking out waiting for tomorrow and next Wednesday just wondering how bad it is. All I know so far is grade 2 which is I guess in the middle and just tells me how fast it can progress but not how far it has already progressed if I understand that correctly.

Blondie45 - Rats on the positive finding. However, it must be tiny, like mine was, which is good.
I had pain up near my clavical about the time mine showed up on the mammo. I'm not sure the pain had anything to do with my lump, because the spot was very small, but it was just odd that I had tenderness in that area before they found the < 1 cm lump. It was very hard for me to see on the film, too.
Please take deep breaths and know that you will get through this. My surgeon told me mine had probably been there for 6 or 7 years and was just too small to be picked up any sooner on the yearly mammos, so I can imagine that yours hasn't progressed too far either.
Pleae keep in touch. and hugs!

mzmiller99 you certainly made me feel a little better, as if your surgeon told you it was there for 6 or 7 years and you are grade 3 (which I understand is more aggressive spreading) then that is fantastic and hopefully good news for me as well. Thanks so much for helping ease my mind a little bit anyhow!

Yes my first sign that something was wrong was pain in my breast. The pain was so bad that I had to put ice on it. I just new something was not right and made an appointment to get it checked. I could not feel anything. My lump was deep inside and could not be felt but came up on a mammo. I am very thankful that I had the pain and went in to have it checked. I am so thankful, they told me it was early.

I had my first pain under my arm. Wasn't really a pain, just bothersome. Thats when I got a mammogram. Doctor was concerned and found the lump, nodes lit up under my arm on the ualtrasound. Large lump in my breast and I didn't even feel it at all.
