Made from Scratch Chicken and Dumplins

Hope you ladies enjoy this recipe......It is all natural..You can use wheat flour instead of all-purpose white flour.............

Chicken and Dumplins

Chicken broth:

12 cups water                                  1 bay leaf

3 to 4 lb chicken cut up                     4 to 6 whole parsley leaves

1 1/2 tsp salt                                    1 tsp corsely ground black pepper

1 small onion chopped                       2 stalks celery chopped

1 clove garlic peeled and quartered      1 Tbsp lemon juice

Dumplins:

2 cups all purpose flour                       1 1/4 tsp salt

1 Tbsp baking powder                          1 cup plus 2 Tbsp milk

1....Boil water......Add chicken, 1 tsp salt, onion, celery, garlic, bay leaf and parsley to the pot....

      Reduce heat ans simmer for 2 hours..(the liquid will reduce by 1/3)

2....remove chicken from pot and strain broth into a clean pot or large bowl........Set broth aside and toss out veggies and scum from pot......

3.....Pour 6 cups broth into a clean pot.....add ground pepper, 1/2 tsp salt and lemon juice to pot... Freeze remaining broth for later use...........Reheat over medium while preparing dumplins...............

DUMPLINS:

In medium bowl add dumplin ingredients and stir until smooth...Let set for 5 to 10 minutes....Roll out to 1/4 inch on floured board....Cut into 1/2 inch squares......Drop each square into stock pot...Use all of the dough........Simmer 20 to 30 minutes.......

While dumplins are simmering remove meat from bones and cut into bite sizre pieces and add to the pot...Discard bones and skin...Stir GENTLY or meat will shred and fall apart.....

SERVE HOT!................
