Hi to all,
Does anyone know of a naturopath in the state of Florida specifically around Daytona Beach/Orlando area? Good ones are so HARD to find....
Thanks
-
TBB,
There hear they are a couple good ones in Orlando. Mike Viscounti in Clermont I have used in the past. He used to work with a cancer center in Clermont. I also understand there is a really good Chinese naturopathic in Orlando. Try to Google Naturopathic or Homopathic Orlando.

hi all,
i am 35 years old from asia. lindatio is not my real name. sorry my english is not so good. i found this website after i googling. i promise to myself that i must share to all the world who suffer from cancer especially for breast cancer. I have breast cancer 4 years ago, i already do chemo and chemo almost 3 times and my head almost bold. i almost desperate for this suck disease. I am googling out and luckily i found one blog that explain about breast cancer. And some of the people who wrote in the blog consume one medicine called "Typhonium Plus". so i try to research what is Typhonium Plus. After research about 1 month, i decide to try typhonium plus. after i consume 2 boxes there's no changes on my breas, but after the third box my breast become black. i am so panic. i call my doctor and she told me the black one is cancer cell that already dead. huh.. surprise me. now i already consume it 7 months and the black cell slow but sure become brown again ( same like skin ) and my breast become normal again. but my doctor said, i must consume it continuously until the cell really gone. it's my lucky and miracle that i can cure from breast cancer. start from that day i promise to share this info to all over the world regardless you believe or not. Cause i know the pain for a girl/woman missing their breast.

Hi all
When you have started your new life style plans have you gone cold turkey or did you slowly work your way into it so that your bodies could adjust.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Jan 08 and then in March 08 found out it had matisized to my spine. I was given 5 days of rads which made me really sick and then have been on Tamoxifen ever since.
Since then I have put on about 15-20 kilos in weight, Im always tired and at the moment have had the flu for the last ten days....
Im sick of being sick....I want to be as healhy as I can....
Ive read that some of you are taking Lyzine so that you dont get sick, can you take it once you are sick to help you get better quicker???
I have tried to clean out my cupboards of any junk food and try to buy fresh fruit and veges when I can....but organic food is very expensive here...Im not a great meat eater so havent really noticed that going from my diet. Im eating cottage cheese....is that OK???
I take 1000mg Vitamin C in the morning and at night, and I take omega 3 & 6 every morning and I take a Multivitamin every morning, and also curcumin. And last but not least I take a high dose melatonin tablet at night.
The other thing that Im going back to is refractionated Pectin Powder, this is very good, it works like this....
Your cancer cells have a sticky membrane around them that attract each other and allow them to stick together to form tumours and lumps, refractionated pectin powder destroys the sticky membrane, thus the cancer cells dont stick to each other. If you decide to try it, its easy to take you just mix with with some juice and drink it once a day. Make sure you get refractionated pectin powder....as normal pectin powder does not disolve and does not work in the same way.
Any advice would be appreciated

beastybabe, if I ever set a speed record for anything, it will probably be at the slow end of the spectrum! My changes are ongoing and very gradual. I think it's the best way to develop habits that will stay. I visited New Zealand years ago. LOVED the milk there! But that was long before I turned into a food detective to see what all is in the things we eat.
I started with steering clear of high fructose corn syrup. Just that one will keep you busy for a while. More recently, I've decided to have romaine lettuce in my fridge at all times. It's great for juicing and great for salads too. My goals this year are to eat more salads and learn how to make my own salad dressings. I discovered corn syrup lurking in most readymade salad dressings also.
-
Beastybabe...How about some Vitamin D? It's necessary for immune support and many of us are very deficient in it. Ask your doctor to check your Vit. D level and if it's low ask how much you should add via supplements. Vit. D is fat soluble so at high doses it can be toxic which is why it is important to check your levels. I'm taking 5000 iu/day. I went through chemo(Sept.-Nov.) and radiation(Nov.-Jan.) and although all around me had colds and the flu this winter I was fine. I'm thinking the D helped.

Beasty-I agree with Lili- I was on 6000 IU of vit D until I got my levels up. Now I take 4000. Vit D is really essential. I also take 2-3 1000mg of omega 3 fish oil each day. CoQ10 is another important supplement. Remember, we are all fighting a battle here and we need to have a full arsenal. The best diet is low glycemic. There are lots of great books on nutriton. I just keep reading new ones, and am constantly learning new things, changing my routine, etc. Food is nature's medicine or nature's poison. The good thing is we totally have a choice of which we consume.
Barry, I just bought some coconut oil. It is kind of thick. Do you mix it with anything or just slather it on?
-
Vivre...It is thick. It may sound crazy, I take a knife and spread it on slice apples. It's like a glaze. Taste really good.
I put a little on my hands. It disolves into a liquid oil. I spread it on my legs, and stomach. I've also used it on my neck and face. I've read that our skin is a huge sponge. Everything we put on our flesh goes into our body. Isn't this what happens when the a birth control patch is placed on a women's body.
Let me know what you think.
beastybabe...about the lyzine...get super lyzine...or an super immune vitamin with lyzine in it. Take 3 or 4 at a time three times a day when you fell ill. Other than that...perhaps few once day until your immune system improves. This is only a suggestion. I am not a medical doctor. Its worked for me, and hopefully for you. Take care... and let us know how you're doing. B Barry

Thanks for the awesome advice guys.
I will be looking on the net about all the things you have told me.
If there is anything else that you think would be benefical I would be glad to hear it from you.
-
Beasty-I have mentioned this many times, but one of the books that really helped me was by Dr. Ray Strand "What your Doctor Doesn't know about Nutrition May be Killing You". He gives a lot of great information about what to eat and why we need to add supplements. He does not refer to bc specifically, but feels that all disease is related to nutrition. Also, join us over on the natural girls and motivation threads, where I think we are really helping each other.

For those of you interested in coconut oil, I just posted a large post about it on the natural girls thread.
I'm a huge fan of coconut oil, have been using it for a couple of years to cook with. Have only recently paid attention to the benefits of using it on my skin, but figure it's at least an effective and healthy alternative to the chemical coctails in most skin lotions.
I find coconut oil (refined for med and high heat use, Spectrum brand) in our local grocery store (Farmfresh). The unrefined (for low heat and topical use) oil isn't carried there, so I have to look for it in healthfood stores. I'm hoping that will change soon.

Hi to all:
Has anyone heard of or done any treatment with the CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA? They do offer alternative therapies for treatment and wanted to know if anyone has had contact or received treatment from there. Thanks
-
I tried to get in there but my insurance would not let me. Even if they did they would not cover anything that was "alternative". I have seen post from a few ladies and they seemed very pleased with their treatment.
You may want to post a new threat with CTCA as the title.

My impression of Cancer Treatment Centers of America is that they are committed to finding some way to treat (i.e. "bill") you, whether or not it will do any good.

In the US we are using Modified Citrus Pectin--I don't know if that is the same stuff as you are referring. If you use it--MCP is used at 5 grams three times a day--away from food!! Otherwise it will combine with other substances and not do the job....please double check on the dose and usage recommended for you. All my best.

Modified Citrus Pectin is called just that in Canada as well and is a completely different product from FlorEssence. It is also one of the supplements that I am taking. Here's the blurb about modified citrus pectin that my naturopath gave me when recommending it:
Modified Citrus Pectin is a "super nutrient" used in the treatment of many cancers, primarily to prevent metastatic spread and tumour growth. It directly attacks abnormal cells, thereby reducing the disease, and at the same time has properties that boost the overall health of the individual. Cancer cells are different from normal body cells in a number of important ways. First, and foremost, they have lost their ability to control the "cell cycle" (the natural cycle that controls when cells live, divide, grow and die). Cancer cells, by definition, grow out of control without any of the normal checks and balances. Many herbs, drugs and nutrients function by getting cells to enter back into the cell cycle and die a "normal" death. Another important difference between cancer cells and normal cells is that these "abnormal" cells have an unusual appearance (all cells have markers on their surfaces which allow them to communicate with each other and their environments; receptors for neurotransmitters or hormones, markers to identify what type of cell it is, and "hands" that let the cell stick in place or move around). Cancer cells have more of one type of marker, or less of another, or have markers on their surface that are totally unique. These changes allow white blood cells (immune responders) to recognize cancer cells as foreign. One type of molecule that these cells have too many of is called galectin-3. Galectin-3 molecules function as "hands" and help the cancer spread in many ways. First, they are important in reaching out and stimulating the growth of new blood vessels (to feed the growing tumours). Second, they allow cells that break off the initial tumour to clump together in the bloodstream, allowing them to move to a new site in the body. Modified Citrus Pectin is a natural substance that can bind galectin molecules and block them, thereby inhibiting the spread and growth of cancer cells. A number of studies of Modified Citrus Pectin effectiveness in both animals and humans have shown dramatic reductions in metastasis to the lungs, breasts and colon as well as in slowing the rate of disease progression.

This company (I think) does have dark chocolate without soy lecithin. I wrote them about it awhile back and they said they had it. It might be worth an email for you to find out:
