    Thanks ladies I also am in need of your post today...this week...more like this past month.

    I must remember that God has had his hand in my treatment four years and has taken wonderful care of me...I know he is still by my side...even though I'm feeling lost at sea right now.

    Wow!  I have so many bible verses that are getting me through this that I don't know where to start.  Sometimes, I just turn the pages of my Bible and read verses that I have highlighted.

    Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

    Notice that it doesn't say "if"  it says "when"

    Jeremiah  1:5 Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart;

    Isaiah 55: 8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are  your ways my ways, declares the Lord.  As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

    and finally for today

    Lamentations 3:25  The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.

    Grace, my husband suffers from depression.....You just gave me the answer I needed....I now know sooner or later he will be well again......He just has to turn to the Lord and let Him make him well....Thank you......

    Hi Hollyann, 

    My thoughts and prayers go to you and your loved ones for a safe and speedy recovery. Amen. 

    About 6 months ago a family member told me about the women in her church who were dx with bc. Along with some of the other women in her church, she thought this was a punishment from God because some of the women were unpopular or had been rude. That never sat right with me but shamefully I never said anything to the contrary or tried to change her mind. When I was dx I told her and waited for the words punishment but they never came. I told her how I feel about this dx...that it is an opportunity for me. I believe that and I am living my life with more appreciation for everything I was blessed with. For me this is an opportunity and I marvel that I was given a chance to draw closer to my Lord. Many people profess to believe but when something like this happens your faith can be tested. Some will immediately humble themselves while others will stand arrogantly in opposition. I am doing everything I can to heal myself physically but I do not doubt for one moment that ALL healing is ultimately from my Lord.

    Grace, very well said.  It is during our darkest moments that our Father can do His best work because we don't let self get in the way.

    Have been busy with life-- hubby's brain cancer and our son's graduation from high school. Looks like this thread needs a bump... thanks for all of the great scriptures. Just re-read the whole thread and it was very uplifting! Prayers for all of you, Paula

    Have been away for a while, dealing with life... and death-- lost my husband to brain cancer a month ago. Healing scriptures have taken on a new significance in my life since his death. Here are a few of my favorites: 

    “The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped…” Psalm 28:7

    “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” (Psalm 31:24)

    1 Corinthians 2:9: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has prepared for those who love Him."
