Lost your hair...here's my blog...let's laugh together
I've completed my treatment just 5 weeks ago. I thought to myself how helpful everyone has been and wanted to pay it forward. I've kept a blog of my journey and thought that if if any of my experiences could help anyone in any way that would make all this insanity that is cancer have some meaning. So for those of you out there facing baldness read my blog dated January 24, 2009. That was my Hair Fallout Day. Through God's grace, the support of my amazing husband, family and friends, I made it through this battle and was able to laugh at it as well as shed tears. I just wanted to offer support to those of you just starting down this road. You can do it!!!! Kick some cancer butt!!!! Feel free to read any of my other rantings as well.

thanks for posting your site.......I also have a caring bridge site....it has been so helpful. There are quite a few others out there.....maybe there should be a post for people who have them, as I enjoy reading the others as well.....it is nice knowing we are all going through this together. I am going to be 40 in Nov. and just shaved my head a week ago. I have some video on my site as well. Good Luck with everything...I look forward to keeping up with your site.

Thanks for posting the sites!!!!! These are just great and I so appreciate both of you journaling your experiences!!!! The hair thing is so traumatic, isn't it????? I remember the day my sister shaved mine off for me. She just couldn't stand the few straggles that were left hanging there!
I kept a blog about my journey, too!

Thanks Guys! I've read both your sites. They are great. Love the video giglgrl. Your son's very talented. I think we should start a who has a CaringBridge thread. That might help the newly diagnosed.
It was winter here when I lost my hair and while at home I just don't bother wearing anything but going out in the cold without anything wasn't a good idea. But now that it's getting warm and humid. I live in SC and a wig and/or those scarfs aren't going to cut it. TOO HOT. Although I don't want to get sunburned either. I'll have to find a happy medium. So I'll be joining in on the bald and free out in public myself. Now, I do leave the house A LOT without my foobies. I go workout and I don't care if there are men at the Y (I'm a Zumba fanatic) with more cleavage then me. I'm not carting those things around all the time. They are HEAVY. I think that we all have endured enough and if we want to go work out in our yard bald and topless, then so be it. I mean we know of men who cut their grass and could use some "support" in the chest area. HAHA Everyone have a great weekend!!
Hugs
