Hi everyone   Andrea had her last Taxol yesterday. Smile Mixed emotions really.

Pleased, but a little scared this nasty nasty disease has managed to survive the onslaught.   She start rads in 3 weeks.

Does 25 rads - daily for 5 weeks sound about right?  I notice some ladies had more than this. Confused

    ~* BIG...BIG.. Congrats*~

Try to do a little something to celebrate.....

I did 5 weeks of rads, most woman get 5-6 weeks of rads.

I hope you celebrate why you can before rads.  As noted most of us get 30 to 36 days of rads.

I've also read about a study that shorter periods of rads are equally effective - sorry don't remember where. I think I had something like 28. Let's face it - there aren't any absolutes when it comes to our treatment.

Congrats to Andrea & let her know that mixed emotions are common. It's even worse when finishing the rads because there you are seeing the same people every day for over a month. When it's over not only aren't you sure that it's all worked, but you really start to miss the support system that treatment involves. Eventually you stop thinking about it every minute of every day, but that takes time.

She will really need you then.
